Volunteers cleaning a historic building at the Waseca County Fairgrounds in Minnesota discovered a massive 48 star American flag hidden in the rafters.

Wrapped in oilcloth the flag had been forgotten for decades. It measures about 19 by 36 feet covering roughly 680 square feet roughly the size of a one bedroom apartment.

The flag dates to between 1912 and 1959 before Alaska and Hawaii became states. It was likely handmade by multiple people with hand sewn stars and machine stitched stripes. Historians gathered over 50 volunteers to unfold it for the first time in years. They carefully stretched it across the fairgrounds to examine its 48 stars and 13 stripes.

Old photographs from Waseca Fourth of July parades in 1940 and 1942 show a similar giant flag being carried by children. The historical society is now seeking community help to uncover who made the flag where it originally flew and why it was hidden away.

Authorities in California were forced to shut down businesses from Newport Pier to Pacific Coast Highway due to non-residents wreaking havoc on July 4th.

Hundreds of people reportedly swarmed police officers and threw debris at them before fighting each other.

Newport Beach stores were also looted, according to local reports, including a Pavilions grocery store. Video footage shows a massive amount of trash and debris left outside the store.

Authorities say about 100 people were arrested and multiple police officers were injured.

This disabled American veteran closed his Citibank account voluntarily to move his money to a more veteran-friendly financial institution according to his wife (@isabellebrown on TT). After the account was closed, a disability payment from the federal government posted and Citibank won’t release the funds.

The person on the phone is 4 supervisors deep in the compliance department and admits that they know it is against the law to withhold the funds because they are protected but finally states that the bank is making them do it. Is this really how Citibank treats American veterans? It sounds like the family is prepared to do whatever it takes as this is their only source of income.

She’s right, there are very real PERMANENT damages that come from transitioning. Here are just a few

- Permanent infertility and sterility: Puberty blockers especially at early Tanner stages followed by cross-sex hormones typically prevent full development of reproductive organs and gametes (sperm and eggs)

- Loss or impairment of sexual function and sensation
- Irreversible voice deepening in females on testosterone
- Surgical removal or alteration of healthy tissue: Double mastectomy removes breasts permanently with scarring and potential complications
- Long-term skeletal and health impacts like bone density loss. Puberty blockers can reduce peak bone mass
