I got paid $1,183 this week to post about POOP
That’s $4,800 total for just posting my thoughts on the internet. Kinda mind blowing
If you got paid today take a moment to be grateful
You’re getting paid to do what you love
Lessons learned since the last check:
1. Haters are making you money. Thank them.
2. Long form posts are incredibly fun to write. You’re missing out if you’re not doing these
3. Don’t be afraid to troll
4. Don’t be afraid to be funny
5. Muting people is great for your mental health
6. If people plagiarize you take that as a compliment
7. X friends can be your best friends
8. If you’re not hosting Spaces you’re a dingus
I dare you to name me a better platform than X
Our artist made the second version "sketch" of Tweets!
He became more alive! 🐦
Should both Tweetys or use only second variant?

Smaller accounts are getting screwed over on X
The algo punishes people for interacting with them
Hides their content
Destroys their reach
I was there once. So I put something together for you
Here's your small account growth guide:
1. The X algo heavily favors great long form posts. Not good ones, great ones. Practice writing these every week.
2. Do it for the love of creating good content, not seeing vanity metrics go up. The vanity metrics will follow.
3. The days I have the most growth are the days I talk on Spaces. This isn't a coincidence
4. Lofi girl playlist goes hard AF when you're writing. Anyone else ever wish they lived in the apartment in that video?
5. It’s never worth engaging with the trolls or haters. Let them be miserable by themselves
6. Weaponize subscriptions. I strategically subscribe to people I want to build a closer relationship with. It's the quickest way to get attention from a creator.
7. Formatting is everything. If the greatest post in the world is a big block of text, nobody will look at it. Use line breaks and white space
8. Being a reply guy/gal is by far the best strategy for getting noticed. Make an X List of all the accounts you want to network with then reply for 15 minutes a day.
9. The first line will determine the success of the post. Spend 90% of your time here.
10. Some weeks the algorithm favors you. Some weeks it doesn't. Don't change how you create content based on this. Keep moving forward
11. Being kind to others is the best strategy for gaining followers
12. People hate when you sell things on X. If every other post is pushing a product or service on your audience you're going to have a real hard time growing
13. People who don't like the Yeezus album just don't understand good hip hop (not a growth tip but needs to be said)
14. Typos and grammatical errors can single handedly destroy the performance of a post (thank you Grammarly)
15. Who tf buys the peanut butter with the oil in it? Why isn't all peanut butter stir free?
16. Post every day. Going days without posting hurts your algo standing. Schedule posts ahead if you're on vacation
17. Amazing books to improve your writing: The Elements of Style, The Copywriter's Handbook
18. 90% of my growth can be attributed to the friends I've made on this platform. DM someone you admire every day
19. I've never left a Drake concert thinking it was worth the money
20. High quality content is more important than the algorithm, but understanding the algo too makes your content so much louder
21. Use multimedia as much as humanly possible. Short form video is the alpha.
And most importantly:
22. If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right. For the love of god just enjoy the journey
