I've seen a lot of nominations for World as "Campaign of the Year" at the Solana Community Awards
Marketing is a concept centered on needs; furthermore, it must contribute to the long-term goals of a company or brand (DAU's, volume, awareness, etc.).
Stirring up hype with false promises is unprofessional, misleading and has nothing to do with marketing at all
Communication can't compensate for a missing USP. The last thing the space needs is yet another - partially functional - prediction platform (imo)
I also made posts about World. I regret every single one 💩
The failure of the year.
Their motto was literally:
"world will take over the world."
Paid big KOLs to promote them, promised an airdrop, and on day one, their product crashed.
They told users to deposit funds to qualify for the airdrop.
Reality? Users deposited their funds, and the money disappeared.
They promised another date for the airdrop. It never came.
Top 5 traders can't even generate $5K in volume.
ADA has more active users than this entire circus.
Big KOLs. Big promises. Big marketing budget.
Zero execution. Zero credibility. Zero fucking users.
What a spectacular failure.
