My colleague today introduced me to the #Buddhist concept of ‘dependent origination’. Ever curious, I found and listened to this podcast. ‘Twas good, and I recommend it:

Listened to @RaiWaddingham podcast My name is Rachel https://t.co/ptu4nUCv9K on way to work and as usual Rai manages to talk with a range of people about difficult #MentalHealth practice issues with curiosity, openess in a way that truly opens dialogue #impressive
Authors, tweet your work! Tweeting their own horn: Author self-promotion on Twitter increases research dissemination: //www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/04/190409162812.htm (also really enjoy 'peak tweeting' included as outcome measure)
Mojo Film Festival is approaching!
If you’re in Melbourne, Aus. on 24 May, grab a ticket or five to see an all-star panel discuss #mentalhealth in movies.
Just found out one my mates is on the panel, Darius Devas (dir. of ‘Head On’)!

@CMscreens@FlicksAustralia Haven’t seen it but I was ambivalent towards trailers, so thanks for sharing. Something about Keira Knightley just...*irritates* me.
Call me a late bloomer, but I’ve recently taken the time to read (indulge? lose my sense of time and space in?) @neilhimself’s #Sandman series.
Can I just say, bravo? It’s proven a spiritual experience. I’ve laughed, I’ve fumed, I’ve been made anxious & cried (mostly cried)!

I'm at @BBCRadio4 waiting anxiously as my show focusing on coersion in the Mental Health System is being edited together. A 28m show leaves so many important voices/realities unsaid - but hope it helps ignite public interest in an area that is oft ignored https://t.co/1mJalKEh8v

Actually it’s NOT safe for all of us to talk about suicide. I was suicidal last year— but knew asking for help would risk forced Tx & seclusion. I was more scared of being locked in a psych unit again than dying.
We can’t prevent suicide until services are safe.
(I am OK now)
@PatMcGorry@NMHC@ozprodcom Fine, @PatMcGorry. But saying it doesn't make it so.
& if a person feels unsafe at the prospect of disclosing suicidal thoughts, & you say they are safe regardless, then you gas light bc you deny their direct, lived experience.
More of the same from Psychiatry, man. Step aside.
