@beezybraidsza@TopherPatt There are altitude safety margins for us when we fly through clouds, even when going into land with a low cloud layer. There’s many more things to make sure flying in low visibility/clouds is safe, so I hope this helps your anxiety!
@rsnbrgr@LexLovesTech@FeralFlavorful@fredHeller1@RonCPhD@ehtelescope@physicsJ I think we see M87 from one of its poles while ours is looked at from the side. Again, ours is closer but much smaller so I think the resolution isn’t high enough for us to get the full picture (it’d look like the one from Interstellar)
@Tartantory56 @GregS54 @mobile14u@ehtelescope I think it does look like the one from interstellar, it’s just too fuzzy to see. It has 3 bright spots and one of them is on the top so I think it does look like we’re seeing it from the side but the resolution isn’t high enough for it to be clear. Amazing nonetheless!
We finally have the first look at our Milky Way black hole, Sagittarius A*. It’s the dawn of a new era of black hole physics. Credit: EHT Collaboration. #OurBlackHole#SgrABlackHole
