This is 2023.
Some people are working at strengthing their prayer life.
Others are having plans to be more devoted to Bible study.
Others are working at dropping bad habits.
But you're still trying to explain why its not bad for a Christian to be drinking alcohol?
Na wa o.
God forbid
that our minds become so abased and afflicted that we begin to think that we could change this depraved world with any other thing besides the gospel of Jesus and the power of the Risen Christ through us.
God forbid.
GROW.
and don't apologize for it.
Do not let someone who refuses to grow make you feel guilty for no longer loving what you both used to love.
He is the one that is stuck.
Not you.
We muuuuuuuve!
Joseph's brother hated him. God used him anyways.
Saul hated David. God used him anyways.
The elders of the Jews hated Jesus. "God" used Him anyway.
It appears, humanly speaking, human hatred fuels God to stay loyal to His men.
Keep on hating.
And get enough fuel for the trip.
Mockery.
**
It is nothing new.
It has ALWAYS been Satan's MO in his attempt to bully God's people into silence. People with no head, mocking the haircuts of others.
Demons are terrified when godly things are spreading abroad.
Bolder. Louder. Fiercer.
That's how we respond!
The scriptures (both the O.T and N.T texts) frown strongly at bearing false witness.
Applied to our world today, it means, don't like/retweet news/info you have not doubly verified. Don't share fake news. Don't spread rumours about people, that you did not personally verify!
I believe in a God that quickens the dead.
He makes dead things come alive!
He gives hope to the hopeless.
He raises help when the road is blocked.
He silences the mockeries of the enemy.
He did it for Abraham.
He does it, even today!
This is our God!
Abbreviating curse words and profane words may make you feel good, but it changes nothing!
If it was compelling enough in your thought to type it, it doesn't matter if you replace an alphabet with *, you're still wrong!
Let God's word give you a sane mind
Bl*ssed.
Of all places you would find God, He's not in bad character, abusive systems/behaviour or situation and never in deception.
If you know this, misrepresentation of God to you and from you becomes difficult.
God is light, and in Him is "NO DARKNESS AT ALL."
Don't overrate yourself.
That you don't like something does not mean it is wrong.
That you don't like someone doesn't mean they are the problem.
Your "sense of likeness" is not the almighty yardstick for what is proper and right.
Don't overrate yourself.
The main point in Jesus' temptation is the exercise of control.
He COULD do all that satan said He should do, but He held back because it wouldn't please God.
Restraining ourselves from doing things that would make us feel good, but displease God is a major fruit of growth.
Keep calm.
There are people who derive their satisfaction from triggering others. They seek to troll and bully you, and when you start sulking, they live the rest of the day fulfilled and happy.
So, keep your emotions immune to their bait.
Ignore them. You'll be fine!
Lack of contentment is what breeds envy.
When you understand that everyone has their place and their season, you will embrace your own place and your season with gratitude, and acknowledge and celebrate others.
We envy because we are discontent.
It is ungodly and evil!
Be sure that the reason you want to marry a prayerful spouse is not to cover for your own prayerlessness
Fervency should be a mutual thing in the christian home, so that when one is "down", the other can pull up
If you goan make yourself a cover,
Your spiritual life will suffer
