Even more so when I read amnesty’s post yesterday on X. Amnesty declared that the death of the two Bibas children reminds them of the urgent need to immediately release Palestinians arbitrarily detained. No condemnation of the horrific murder of almost the entire Bibas family.

For more than 35 years I was a member of amnesty international. In my youth as an active campaign supporter and later as an ordinary member. I valued amnesty‘s engagement a lot. Under it‘s new leadership it decided to take a clear position against Israel

However, Amnesty did not not equally condemn the terror by Hamas. For a long time I tried to convince myself that a human rights organization can’t be that biased. Well. I erred. As of this year I have canceled my membership. While I still have certain regrets, I don’t regret it.

Comme le révèle le rapport sur l’antisémitisme de la @SIGFSCI publié aujourd’hui, des incidents antisémites sous forme de courriels haineux ont été malheureusement aussi recensé à #Bienne. Société et milieux politiques sont appelés à rester vigilants et à prendre des mesures, notamment sous forme de prévention et de sensibilisation, pour garantir une cohabitation pacifique. Bienne ne tolère pas l’antisémitisme !
