This was a feminist challenge to the patriarchy of mainstream Christianity, and covers female, non-binary and self-actualised conceptions of godliness. @ConceptualJames hadn't been born then.

@brenda11831 @genspect I don't have any beef with @jk_rowling - I'm merely pointing out that Harry Potter is in the mythopoeic tradition of messianic epics. For my generation it was Luke Skywalker, to the extent that thousands of British people record their religion as 'Jedi' on official documents.

@thoughtsofquod @genspect Thanks for the comment. I meant that Jesus was considered divine from birth, because of his supernatural conception, rather than acquiring enlightenment through spiritual practice. I did not yet delve into the New Age, but that's a good idea!
