All you need to do is follow his directions and work hard for the results.
Don’t let anyone argue that Pratchett is hard to adapt.
Tell ‘em Cohen sent you.

I’ve never bought the argument that Discworld is impossible to adapt. @StephenPBriggs tackled this with his stage productions back in '91, proving with each performance that all you need to do is move Terry’s words off the page and into the mouths of actors.
Terry literally (or perhaps literarily) gives you a blow by blow account of what you need to put in front of the audience.
Stephen King is hard to adapt. Tolkien, too. And RR Martin. Terry Pratchett? Please. He’s done all the work for you; it’s painting by numbers.
@Ash_alttweets Even the idea of the camera goes deeper than you're giving it credit for. The Brownie was the first mass-marketed portable camera, which dominated the market in the 1900s. When Terry has them powered by imps, he's parodying Kodak, not the Flintstones.
@Ash_alttweets That's... that's not how satire or parody works. When Terry riffs Lieber or Lovecraft or Shakespeare or Marlowe, he's sending it up. He's making fun of something he loves and inviting the readers to explore it with him. There is an intention to Terry's deconstructions.
@anotherclive@dwmoook Did you know they accept and publish reviews from readers? Perhaps you could submit your own to right what ever balance you think is out. Their mag is pretty inclusive I've been following it for decades.
@anotherclive@dwmoook Canon? None of the films are canon. How can they be when each contradicts the book in their own small way? Is the Discworld computer game Canon, the one that tells Guards! Guards! with Rincewind as the lead? Canon has nothing to do with their focus, it's the IP that matters.
@anotherclive@dwmoook That's not how journalism works, this is Discworld news whether you want it to be or not. I would hope DWMonthy continue to be all encompassing - that's their entire point of publication.
Look... (I can't believe I resurrected my account for this level of pedantry), but Detritus is not CGI in #TheWatch. CGI stands for Computer Generated Image. Detritus is a costume (like Ludo), he's not built in a computer (like Gollum). Thank you for your time.
