@ESPNMadison@Siding_LLC Irrelevant. I'm guessing "Prior connections to Barry Alvarez" wasn't a mandatory skill set that Indiana had on its JDs for anyone in their AD.
Barry's a UW legend. We should value his opinion. But our candidate pool shouldn't be limited to fmr. Barry employees.
@Evan_Flood A lot of optimism about the potential for a new AD hire.
But...only one AD role, which ended badly. No clarity what he did at UT as Deputy/COO. No reporting that he even touched NIL at UT. Only fact UW teased for this guy: he worked with Barry.
Hoping for the best.๐ซค
@ESPNMadison Most recently, he was Deputy AD/COO at Texas. But there's no detail on his responsibilities at UT. And critically, nothing on his involvement with UT's NIL, where Wisky has fallen flat.
Hoping for the best, but based on resume alone...not the HR we had hoped for. ๐ฌ
@ESPNMadison Rough. Eichorst has only one stint as an AD, at Nebraska. That ended in his firing after 5 yrs. for poor on-field results.
Nebraska chancellor: "Shawn has led Nebraska Athletics in many positive ways, but those efforts have not translated into on-field performance..."
@midwestern_ope B has Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Detroit, Cleveland, all of Lake Michigan and all of Lake Huron (nobody cares about Erie).
This isn't a serious question.๐ซค
@USASwimming C'mon. 2fly or 4IM. Only real choices. Everything else might be hard to swim well, but you're definitely finishing.
You're relieved just to finish 2fly and 4IM.
@ESPNMadison@rileyjauch The NBA league minimum is $1.157M. $5M for Blackwell is insane and unsustainable. Benevolent donors can only subsidize college programs at this pace for so long, and then this all collapses.
I wish Wisky had been more proactive with NIL funding. But not to chase Blackwell.
@ESPNMadison@BenBrust@ESPNMilwaukee @KBNESPN @ESPNbd Preach, @BenBrust. In business, if a CEO fails consistently for 3 years, no sane board says, "He showed us no promise of success. We should break the bank for year 4."
@Clear total disaster. Couldn't recognize tickets because we have a "Jr." in the family. Agent was a scattered mess. After 10 min. of confusion, literally left line and breezed thru TSA Pre.
$400 to add unnecessary confusion and delay isn't a great business proposition.
