Pleased for Notts County, our paths have crossed a few times in different circumstances like the horror 3-0 on Boxing Day at our lowest ebb and the title win at Meadow Lane last year.
Comes across as a good club with great support. Martin Paterson has done a fine job there 👏🏻
So happy for Notts County. A club that has been through a heck of a lot and whose owners were determined to do things gradually and sustainably after the mistakes of others. Good on them and everybody at Wembley today.

Hard not to feel for David Artell and Grimsby Town there. They’ve come a long way and edged out right at the death.
Very few feelings like losing a League Two second leg at the end. Football at its cruellest 💔
Was quietly impressed throughout the season - such as their win at Birmingham - but didn’t realise the scale of the achievement of Hull City getting to Wembley.
Really impressed with their tactics, substitutions and general style of play. Sergej Jakirović deserves huge credit
@danielstorey85 What a story! Always (for reasons unknown) had a soft spot for Rochdale and enjoyed a trip to Spotland over the years. The people are friendly, the chip shop on Wilbutts Lane an absolute delight!
They were a great watch in the Keith Hill era. Hopefully brighter days ahead now…
@drfc_official Absolutely great news - one of the first names on the team sheet, always gives everything, versatile, grew in confidence last season in particular, going from strength to strength #drfc
@liamhoden All the best to you and the family Liam, your coverage of #drfc in different roles has always been appreciated, especially as someone who lives away from the area.
Loved the coffee series, gained some great insight seeing people talk naturally away from the field or dugout ☕️
Appreciate it’s easy to reflect and say ‘had it not been 1 win in 17 then we could have been higher’ but think it’s important to also recognise the other side of the coin - without a strong start or end we could have been in big trouble. That’s also the reality #drfc
We’ve seen a committed group give it their all for the whole season, 14th place with 60 points and 17 wins a fine return given how it looked going into 2026.
15 points off the play-offs, 11 points off the bottom 4. Feels about right - and a crossroads in some senses #drfc
Fair play to @LincolnCity_FC - very good tonight and absolutely worthy champions in going 27 unbeaten. Genuinely pleased for @Robstreet12 - we still love you at #drfc
Good luck in the Championship, you’ve earned it 👏🏻
