“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”
Genesis 6:8

Do not rush past this.

This is the first appearance of chen, grace, in Scripture.

And where does grace first appear?

In a judgment narrative.

The earth was corrupt. Violence filled the earth. Judgment had been announced.

Then suddenly:

“But Noah found grace.”

Noah FOUND grace.

He did not manufacture it.
He did not negotiate for it.
He did not earn it.

And notice the order:

Verse 8: Noah found grace.

Verse 9: Noah was just, blameless in his generation, and walked with God.

Grace appears before the description of the man.

But here is what fascinates me:

Noah did not find a hiding place.

HE FOUND AN ASSIGNMENT.

Grace did not exempt him from the flood. Noah went through it.

The rain fell.
The waters rose.
The storm came.

The difference was the ark.

Grace did not stop the water.

Grace gave him a vessel to go through the water.

And grace was not vague.

Grace came with measurements, materials, rooms and dimensions.

GRACE HAD A BLUEPRINT.

Sometimes we are praying for God to stop the rain when grace has already given us instructions to build.

Sometimes we are asking for exemption when grace is giving us architecture.

Joseph found grace and received responsibility.

Moses found grace and carried a nation.

Ruth found grace and entered a redemptive story.

Esther found grace and was positioned for a people.

Noah found grace...

And built an ark.

Grace does not merely comfort.

GRACE COMMISSIONS.

Sometimes grace is God saying:

“I will show you what to build before the rain starts.”

Noah found grace.

Grace handed him an assignment.

Not just amnesty.

My approach to doctrinal matters is increasingly simple:

Jesus took bread, broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is broken for you.” — 1 Corinthians 11:24

There is something profoundly instructive in that picture.

THE BODY IS ONE—BUT THE BREAD IS BROKEN.

One loaf.
Many pieces.
Same bread.
Same life.
Same Christ.

And perhaps this is something the Church desperately needs to recover:

YOU MAY HAVE A PIECE WITHOUT HAVING THE WHOLE LOAF.

Your revelation may be genuine without being exhaustive.

Your emphasis may be biblical without being the only biblical emphasis.

Your movement may have recovered something precious without recovering everything.

Your fathers may have carried something from God without carrying everything God has given to His Body.

NO ONE HAS ALL THE PARTS.
AND NO TRUE PART OF THE BODY IS WITHOUT SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE.

The tragedy begins when a piece starts behaving like the whole loaf.

When my revelation becomes the revelation.

When my emphasis becomes the gospel.

When my stream becomes the Body.

Paul said:

“The eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee.” — 1 Corinthians 12:21

That is the arrogance of a part that has forgotten it is a part.

The eye can see—but cannot hear.
The ear can hear—but cannot walk.
The hand can work—but cannot see.

YOUR LIMITATION MAY BE GOD'S ARCHITECTURE FOR DEPENDENCE.

Perhaps God did not put everything in one stream because He intended the Body to need the Body.

So:

STAY IN YOUR PART—BUT HONOUR THE OTHER PARTS.

Carry your revelation strongly.
Preach your emphasis boldly.
Guard what God entrusted to you.

But don't turn your portion into a weapon against another portion of Christ's Body.

And understand this:

HONOUR IS NOT ENDORSEMENT.
UNITY IS NOT DOCTRINAL BLINDNESS.
DISCERNING THE BODY DOES NOT MEAN FAILING TO DISCERN ERROR.

Error is still error.
Heresy must still be rejected.
Truth must still be defended.

But difference is not automatically error.

Correct what is false.
Hold firmly to truth.

But never become so convinced of your portion that you can no longer recognise Christ in another part of His Body.

AND THIS IS WHERE THE MATTER BECOMES MORE SERIOUS.

Because Communion is not merely about discernment of bread.

It is about discernment of BODY.

Paul warns:

“Not discerning the Lord's body… for this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” — 1 Corinthians 11:29–30

Think about that.

We can discern the bread on the table—

AND FAIL TO DISCERN THE BODY AROUND THE TABLE.

We can take Communion while attacking communion.

We can break bread together while breaking one another apart.

We can honour the symbol of His Body while dishonouring members of His Body.

WHAT CONTRADICTION!

We reverence the bread because it represents His Body—

then despise the brother who is actually a member of that Body.

MINISTERS, DISCERN THE BODY.

That man may not speak your language—discern the Body.

That denomination may not carry your emphasis—discern the Body.

That movement may have weaknesses you can clearly see—correct what is wrong, but discern the Body.

You don't have to become them.

You don't have to abandon conviction.

You don't have to call error truth for the sake of unity.

But neither should you call every difference error simply because it is not your portion.

STAY IN YOUR PART.
DISCERN THE OTHER PART.
HONOUR THE OTHER PART.
RECEIVE FROM THE OTHER PART.

Because when the hand declares war on the eye, it is not destroying another body.

IT IS WOUNDING ITS OWN BODY.

This is Communion.

ONE LORD.
ONE BODY.
MANY MEMBERS.
DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS.
DIFFERENT EMPHASES.
DIFFERENT PORTIONS.
BUT ONE CHRIST.

The Body was broken FOR US.

Let us stop using its brokenness AGAINST US.

DISCERN THE LORD'S BODY.

A woman has just given birth.

Everybody is happy. Then suddenly, she starts bleeding.

This is postpartum haemorrhage, and when it happens, no one has time to ask where the drug, tranexamic acid or TXA is.

That drug, Tranexamic acid can help reduce deaths from bleeding when it is given early after PPH starts.

So if a facility is providing emergency obstetric care, TXA should not be something they start looking for when the emergency has started.

It should be there.

As a man, if your wife is preparing to give birth, ask if the facility has TXA available. Same thing if you’re pregnant and preparing for delivery.

Ask questions. Know what is available.

Prepare before the emergency comes.

RT so that expectant mothers and fathers can see this very important message.

One reason we don't see the glory of God in our churches as much as they saw it in the early church and some hot spots of church history is simply our approach to sin.

It is not as radical as it should be.

We don't know that God is truly and effortlessly Holy. We desire to know Him only as Love. When we reach out to God as Love but not so much as Holy,

What we forfeit is Glory.

There will be grace in abundance, but great grace will be lacking. For grace is glory birthed and glory is grace perfected.

God's love is His ATTITUDE. It brings Him to us. It does not bring us to Him. It brings Him to us. It is our understanding of His holiness, which is His ALTITUDE that brings us to Him. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy, is understanding.

Therefore, without holiness, no one will see Him.

Without Love, God will see no one. Without Holiness, no one shall see Him. So when it comes to the issue of sin, Love covers, forgives and cleanses. We know we are forgiven.

But when it comes to the issue of Holiness - this is not just where we talk about forgiveness. It is where we talk about forsaking, exposing, repudiating, rebuking, and hating.

The love of God makes you don't just love righteousness. It is the holiness of God that makes you hate wickedness.

That's why heaven is heaven. It is the closest place to the God realm, just like the Holy of holies of the tabernacle of Moses.

There is nothing which offends there. Nothing which offends can survive there. God's presence will get rid of it. And this is what we have been called to - to stand before God as His own people, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.

A royal priesthood, a holy nation.

So, to summarise - a holy God could not come close to us without being Himself Love. This is why the Bible says He (Jesus) laid aside His glory and became a Man. He couldn't come with that glory.

That was not just His humility.

The glory would have consumed us. We could not have been able to come close or stand near Him. Whereas He laid aside His glory to reach us, we now must know His holiness in order to know Him and reach Him.

This is why God coming to man is called salvation or justification whereas man drawing close to God is called consecration. When He looked on us as sinners, dead in sin, the Word became flesh and gave His life.

Now, if we must look unto Him, and run to Him, we must lay aside every weight and sin. We must walk in the light as He is in the light, confess all sins, and be cleansed from all unrighteousness, that we might have fellowship with the Father and the Son.

This foundational ministry of God's Spirit in the Christian and in the church underscores every genuine fellowship and work of the kingdom.

Therefore, He is called the HOLY SPIRIT.

If I were to counsel the average young Christian today, I will say just 3 things

1. Go back to your BIBLE. Read. Study. Obey.

2. Go back to PRAYER. Ask. Seek. Knock.

3. Go back to CHURCH. Belong. Submit. Serve.

If you think you have JESUS, know Jesus, and love Jesus, and lack any of these THREE.

You are DECEIVED.

Please Read.

When you work with a leader or someone that stretches you beyond your comfort zone, and truly wants you to be a better version of yourself,
You have no idea what God is doing for you.
My late mentor, Pastor Eskor Mfon was never really
a professional musician per se, but was a great worshipper and one that had an ear for good music.

He would come into our choir room after we had spent hours rehearsing. He’d sit, cross His legs, rest his jaws on his palm, close his eyes and listen to what we had done. After a while, he’d shake his head, smile and heave an interesting sigh “aaaaahhhh !”, and then say to us “okay okay well done o, but we can’t give God this kind of worship tomorrow, let’s start again…” And believe me, another 2-3 hours of work…. He’d tell us, “you know we can’t take people to a place we have not been to ourselves…”
He would share scriptures, explain what ministry was all about, then sit with us as we slugged it out.

Anyway, those days would later become the foundation of my music ministry today.

Hmmm, There were days I thought “this stress is just too much” just to lead worship ??? But what did I know ? Poor boy ! My eyes opened one day, and I caught it.

The inheritance I got from him was not money and material things, even though he took good care of us. But the values, principles, work ethic, mind shift, wisdom, spiritual intelligence and understanding, emphasis on prayer, word, purity, integrity, character, excellence etc.

Today I honour him everywhere I go, because in hindsight, He was God sent - To a young man who only had talent, but with very little or no sense of direction.

So, to anyone out there, connecting with this post and perhaps in a similar place, I say receive GRACE to maximize the moment. Learn and glean all you can now, never despise the process, instead appreciate and honour it. For not everyone is privileged to have another man or woman who leave their own thing to sit on your matter, just to make sure you excel in life. It is a blessing !

And in case it appears to be taking longer than it should, may be, just maybe. you are cut out for the BIG TIME. And in no distant future we would be reading your own inspiring story.

But Please note ! Only make sure the person or leader is one that meets the criteria above - I.e, one who truly desires to see a better version of you and wants you to fulfill your prophetic destiny. And Not just one who seeks to hijack your life, control it and put in under lock and key.

I always tell those close to me that there's nothing special about me. Nothing.

I was treading deep in the waters of classical WOF, ProsGos and on the fringes of Hypergrace when I found him.

I knew that there were issues within the system. I saw the issues in scripture but I didn't know how to resolve them, and daily, there was more ammunition within the system thrown to make it seem like my questions were invalid or something of an unnecessary bug.

I didn't know how to proceed.

Then, I met him.

I bless God forever for the day that Dr Gideon suggested that we invite him for Merismos 2014. It was in that meeting that God told me to follow him.

I didn't know what to expect. I just started following.

By March 2015, just 4 months later, most of my questions were answered. I saw the issues. I saw biblical truth.

Everything I have become in doctrine, ministry, and even in life has been built upon the foundation that he provided.

The other day I said: "I am, because you are" and some started convulsing. Na me know wetin I been de talk.

Thank you for teaching me the bible. Thank you for teaching me to know how to do the bible. Thank you for teaching me to do ministry with integrity Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for stabilizing me when Satan tried to sift me as wheat.

It's another day to publicly celebrate the gift of my Father.

Even if you are not an Apostle to others, you are to me.
