You share photos of women in hijab and say:
"Look how oppressed they are."
You never share photos of women holding their dead child in a bombed hospital and say:
"Look what my taxes did."
You are not worried about women’s rights.
You are worried about maintaining the illusion that your violence is somehow enlightened.
The American empire survives not because its crimes are hidden, but because millions of Americans have made peace with being the passive shareholders of atrocity.
That is the part no one wants to say plainly.
They do not have to pilot the drone.
They do not have to interrogate the prisoner.
They do not have to starve the child.
They only have to keep believing the old fairy tale that their comfort is somehow detachable from the machinery that produced it.
It is not.
The suburb is connected to the sanction.
The pension is connected to the plunder.
The national myth is connected to the mass grave.
And every time you point that out, they call you "extreme."
Of course they do.
Truth sounds extreme inside a civilization built on denial.

Alan MacLeod on the billionaire-funded media machine led by a former Israeli spy that is targeting U.S. children with racist, neoconservative, pro-war, pro-business and pro-Israel messaging.
Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera fresco appears in Greek Catholic Church in Ukraine's Ternipol
War criminals adorning church walls, is that supposed to be seen as normal now?
Maybe the most American thing is not the flag,
or the military,
or the smile they wear while describing another country's children as necessary collateral.
Maybe the most American thing is the reflexive need to believe that even their worst crimes must somehow contain a hidden virtue.
They cannot just invade.
They must "liberate."
They cannot just starve.
They must "pressure."
They cannot just overthrow.
They must "stabilize."
They cannot just lie.
They must "lead."
That is why arguing with them feels like arguing with a church that baptizes every missile on the way out of the factory.
You are not fighting facts.
You are fighting liturgy.
"Defending Free Europe?"
Ukraine is winning so hard it has to now use police and paid abduction gangs to steal the last men for Ursulas War.
The EU also admitted today it will start shipping men back to die
The sheer amount of energy it takes to defeat gravity is humbling, but a powerful reminder of what humanity is capable of.
My photography is to hopefully provide an optimistic perspective of humanity's future among the stars.
Lindsey Graham lived his life in service and devotion to Israel, and absolutely deserves this tribute from the Knesset for his lifetime of work and sacrifice for them.
Given the way the Russian political system is structured, there are basically only three things that would stop Putin being Russian president in January 2030 (his current terms ends in May of that year).
They are 1) an early resignation due to ill health, 2) an early resignation, Yeltsin-style, to embed a successor of his own choosing and 3) a catastrophic defeat in the current conflict.
All available evidence suggests the third is extremely unlikely, while the first is up to God and the second is up to Putin.
The official, explicit aim of these bombings is to ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains opened.
The Strait was free and open before the war. It was only closed due to the joint US/Israel attack.
The abject stupidity and failure of this war debacle is impossible to overstate.
Liberals Have Relaxed About Trump Because They Trust Him To Keep The Wars Going
They view him as one of their own now. When he finally dies, he will be lovingly eulogized by all the same liberal institutions which called him a second Hitler during his first term.

"Both often fail to see a distinction between policy and the consensus rules"
Yes. And some just pretend to conflate the two, to serve a personal agenda. Frankly, I'm not sure which is worse - clueless ideologues or malignant influencers, since there's a duality there.
.
Indeed. Bcashers have a lot in common with BIP-110 supporters:
* Both believe in Blockstream conspiracy theories
* Both want to "fire Core"
* Both say "Coretards"
* Both believe we can/should fight spam by relying on miners being "good actors who care", rather than relying on economics and the blocksize limit
* Both release and promote clients trying to change the Bitcoin rules, without consensus
* Both say we are in a rush/crisis, therefore must deploy a fix ASAP
* Both often fail to see a distinction between policy and the consensus rules
* Both have an anti-interlectual appeal against a technical elite
* Both assert the similar phrases "Bitcoin is an electronic cash system" or "Bitcoin is money", to show they are right. With Bcashers liking the word "cash" and BIP-110s liking the word "money"
* Both claim their opponents understand computer science, but not economics or money
The last time Britain, an island nation surrounded by allies, was invaded was 1797, when a small French force landed in Wales.
Britain, meanwhile, has sent troops into Russian territory twice (during the Crimean War in the 1850s, and during the Russian Civil War after 1918).
Russia has never invaded Britain and to mount a serious conventional attack today, it would first have to cross Poland, Germay and France or somehow project force across seas controlled by NATO.
On the evidence of recent years, that seems rather unlikely.
