This is the best piece of relationship advice I've ever gotten:
Write down every aspect of your dream partner. What are their values? What are their interests? What kind of personality do they have? etc.
You got it written down? Good.
Now become that person.
We have been in an accumulation zone for over a year and a half now and it's only a matter of time we break out $LINK
Token is needed.
Literal geniuses building.
One of the only legitimate companies in the space that care about the future of the industry.
Don't sleep
What if you could buy Amazon or Google in the early 2000s?
I was a toddler, but if I would've known, I would've went all in. But don't worry you have another shot at the Amazon of this generation, $LINK
Here's a couple reasons why $LINK is the most obvious play:
1. Chainlink is the leader of the oracle space and the competition doesn't even come close (monopoly)
2. W/o Chainlink, Defi wouldn't exist
3. CCIP will allow all blockchains to interact with each other
4. $LINK will be the UNIVERSAL GAS TOKEN (lower supply & increase demand)
$link I've been in the crypto space since 2016 and I've seen it all.
Chainlink is one of those unicorns. Like ETH in 2016, but you wouldn't believe it...
Few.
Ask yourself, "Why did the universe create the ocean, the wind, rain? Why did the universe create me? Why did the universe give me these problems?"
Nothing is by chance, you were given these challenges to grow and overcome, like the ocean, wind, and rain.
You got this
There are some sayings that have stood the test of time.
"The darkest hour of the night came just before the dawn" or "One dies of thirst just when the palm trees have appeared on the horizon"
There are many variations of these sayings, but they all have the same meaning...
How do you take your power back? This quote helped me:
"God created the world so that, through its visible objects, men could understand his spiritual teachings and marvels of his wisdom"
Take a step back and observe the universe around you, the wisdom is there.
I used to have one crippling addiction:
Planning.
My brain loved the cheap dopamine of gathering books to read, tasks to complete, and videos to watch.
But when it came to taking action, the euphoric rush faded.
What ended my addiction?
This story of two men learning to fish
--
The first fisherman was a planner.
He heads straight to the marina to buy the best fishing boat money can buy.
Then, he specs out an expensive, custom, carbon-fiber fishing rod.
And from there, he spends hundreds of hours reading up and watching videos on everything there is to know about fishing.
• Casting angles
• Weather patterns
• Baiting techniques
You name it, he's bought the book on it.
And of course, he's watching the fishing channel every night for hours, learning from the best of the best.
A few months later—after months of diligent preparation—he *finally* feels ready to fish.
So the next day, he heads out on the lake in his new boat with his fancy rod and wealth of fishing "experience" built up over the last few months.
But six hours in, nothing. Not even a nibble.
He fiddled with his tangled rod which was much more difficult to cast than it looked on TV.
Still nothing.
He moved to a spot upstream, just like his favorite guru would suggest.
Still nothing.
So—what happened?
Turns out, the second fisherman had already sucked the lake dry.
On day one, the second fisherman grabbed a shitty rod, sliced up a hot dog, and went to the lake.
The first day, nothing.
So he moved to a new spot.
Second day, nothing.
So then he moved again.
And on the third day? His first nibble.
From there it was time to iterate.
And every day after, he honed his technique.
He found a baiting technique that worked a bit better.
Or a new lake with a few more fish.
And after three weeks of iteration, he found the winning combination.
Before long, he was hauling in hundreds of fish every day.
To keep up with his daily haul, he hired a small team to help him.
And from there, he opened a restaurant with fat margins to sell his fresh fish.
And after that, he opened a fishing school to teach others his craft.
He did all of this while the first fisherman sat around gathering gear.
Sure, the first fisherman felt productive during those months of preparation, right?
He was "learning" after all, right?
But there was one difference: feedback.
Every day the second fisherman had an idea of something that might work better.
And he went right to the market to validate his assumption.
If it worked, his strategy improved.
And if it failed, he learned something new.
The moral of this story?
Get to action as quickly as possible.
When you find yourself gathering gear, stop.
Instead, grab a shitty rod and start fishing.
This year’s Sibos conference proved to me that the desire and the demand from financial institutions to integrate blockchain technology is not only real, but here right now.
After speaking to many of the largest central banks and private banks, financial market infrastructures, central securities depositories, and more, it’s never been more clear to me that the global financial ecosystem is moving into an onchain format at an accelerating pace. But there are three key challenges financial institutions will face:
Connecting their existing systems to blockchains
Transacting with tokenized assets across any public or private blockchain
Keeping all of those tokens updated with critical data as they move across chains
With one seamless and secure integration, CCIP helps solve these problems for capital markets and abstracts away the complexities that have prevented banks from integrating blockchain technology at scale. Only CCIP achieves the full five levels of cross-chain security and decentralization that financial institutions are likely to need for safely managing quadrillions of dollars in asset flow and bringing global markets onchain.
Forward-looking institutions and market infrastructures like Swift, DTCC, Euroclear, and ANZ already have a first-mover advantage by demonstrating how CCIP serves as the abstraction layer to connect to any blockchain and modernize transaction fulfillment. I expect that as initiatives such as these eventually reach production, the adoption of onchain finance will only accelerate.
I turn 25 today.
As I’m sitting here at the local coffee shop, I’m beginning to reflect on the past year of my life…
Each year, I try to write down my top learnings from the previous year…
And this year I thought I’d share the most unconventional, yet powerful lessons I’ve learned about writing in the past 12 months…
So buckle up, I've got plenty of caffeine… let’s see if we can get to 25.
...
// 1. Your quality of life is determined by the quality of your relationships //
The people around you determine the quality of your life, nothing else plays much of a role when you boil it down.
And when you’re building an online business or writing business, great people in your corner make all the difference in the world.
// 2. Take risks //
The #1 regret of people near the end of their life is they wish they would have taken more risks and not played it so safe.
Don’t let this be you in life… and in your writing.
Don’t write what everybody else is. Take your own unique stance.
// 3. High quality reading breeds high quality writing //
Great writing stems from great ideas. And the only way to get new ideas is to read more. (this includes listening to podcasts and audiobooks)
You must take in great information in order to put out great information.
If you want to be a great writer, start by increasing your capacity for reading.
// 4. Perfection doesn’t exist //
There isn’t a single thing on this planet that is “perfect.” Everything is flawed to some extent. The most important thing when it comes to writing is done.
You can’t improve what doesn’t exist. Get your writing out there for people to see… only then can you get better.
// 5. Think less, do more //
Action cures many of your worries. You cannot think you’re way to a feeling… but you can act your way to a feeling.
Action cures fear. And action is the only thing that will get you closer to your goals.
// 6. The harder you work, the luckier you get //
When you commit yourself to a certain standard of work ethic, the universe conspires around you and things tend to start working out in your favor.
// 7. Sacrifices are not optional //
You aren’t where you want to be in life for a reason. You must change it up and making sacrifices is mandatory.
You must wake up early, stay up later, cut out TV, whatever is necessary for you to reach your goals.
// 8. Be direct //
People don’t know what you want unless you tell them.
You can sit around and hope for things to work out in your favor, or you can take action, ask for what you want, and get what you want.
Be direct in life and be direct in your writing.
// 9. Give yourself 2 options //
Some of the best writing advice I’ve heard that has nothing to do with writing:
Schedule yourself to work on one task for one hour (or more), say from 9am-10am. And when 9am comes around, you have two options.
You can either write and do what you scheduled yourself to do.
Or you can sit there and stare at the wall.
No scrolling, no doing other things, nothing else.
You either sit there and write, or you do nothing at all. Either one is fine… but you’ll find yourself getting s*** done.
// 10. You only lose if you quit //
Like many things in life, the ones who outlast the rest and who are persistent eventually win.
Not everyone is on the same timeline, some may succeed earlier than others, but everyone who persists and pushes through will win.
As long as you keep writing, you will be a great writer.
// 11. The rule of reciprocity //
Give value if you want to receive value back in the form of money, connections, or other resources.
When starting a business, whether you like it or not, you must begin by giving away tons of value for free.
// 12. Start with gratitude //
Take time each day to be grateful for the things you do have. As a society, it’s easy to get caught up in wanting more and the “next thing” mentality.
It’s easier said than done, but make a daily effort to express gratitude in your life.
// 13. Don’t let school get in the way of your education //
Not one creator credits their success to their schooling. There’s a reason for that.
School teaches you to be a part of the system and to be a good employee.
This only leaves you broke and unfulfilled.
If you want to become a great writer and start a business, get your education from somewhere else.
// 14. Act as if //
The great copywriters and email marketers didn’t all of the sudden realize they were great. They worked at it over time and eventually became great.
When someone sees your account, you must convey that you know what you’re talking about and are credible in what you do.
Don’t share that you’re “trying” or “hoping” to do something… no.
You’re doing it right now and you’re good at it.
// 15. Set higher standards //
Set higher standards for your writing and for how you live your every day life.
Standards, as simple as it may seem,
// 16. Follow your obsession //
Don’t be like me and chase money. It won’t lead you to where you want to go.
When it gets tough, you’ll want to quit and you may.
Instead, follow your natural curiosity and what you’re obsessed with.
// 17. The greatest skill is to simplify //
Clarity comes from simplifying things. And clarity is what allows you to make incredible amounts of progress in short periods of time.
Without clarity, you’re spinning your wheels.
// 18. Pay for progress //
The periods of time when I made the biggest leaps forward came after I hired a mentor.
Instead of figuring it out on your own and wasting time, pay to learn from people ahead of you.
// 19. Do NOT chase money //
As somebody who did… it’s worth saying again and making it it’s own point.
The same thing is true when building on X… find what you’d still want to be doing 5 years from now and
// 20. Clean your workspace //
When your desk is messy, it hurts your focus.
Keep your desk cleaned and organized, it will increase your productivity and help you stay focused.
…
Well, I just finished my coffee... I’ll stop at 20.
If you’re still reading, thank you.
