The death toll from the catastrophic double earthquake in Venezuela is now at 1,430 people, with an incomprehensible 68,000 people still missing. This is now one of the worst natural disasters in human history.

While the U.S. has pledged $150 million in aid, this is not enough. It must immediately lift all remaining sanctions and not use this disaster to take further advantage of Venezuela.

Venezuela will need the help of the entire world to recover, but what it does not need is the boot of the U.S. empire on its neck.
