2/2 Canada continues to urge Hong Kong and Chinese authorities to respect media freedom, which is consistent with their obligations under international human rights law.
1/2 Canada is concerned that two Stand News editors were sentenced yesterday – the first journalists to be imprisoned in Hong Kong under the sedition law since 1997.
