After 737 days Omri is finally home.

Roni and Alma ran into their father’s arms and he heard them say “Daddy” again. That moment fulfilled the promise I made on October 7, and healed something words cannot describe.

I want to thank the people of Israel, for never giving up on us and fighting like you were each a member of our family. In Gaza, Omri saw us, heard us, and we were like air to breathe for him, even in the most horrific moments when he thought it was the end—and there were many such moments.

I also want to thank our incredible family, and especially the brave men and women of the @IDF. I am overjoyed at the thought of thousands of soldiers returning home, the precious lives preserved, and the reservist families who, alongside us, can begin their journey of recovery.

I am proud to be Israeli and a Jew, proud of my military and my people—who chose their brothers and sisters and did not abandon them in hell; who chose reason, common sense, and values over spin and false visions. For everyone who fought with us, even just by feeling our pain - be proud, because this moment is yours too.

Thank you to President @realDonaldTrump and the entire Trump Administration for their relentless efforts to bring Omri and the other hostages home. From the start you made our cause your mission, stood with the families, and never gave up.

To @SteveWitkoff, the President’s Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, and to @jaredkushner, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and persistence through every stage of this journey.

To Secretary of State @SecRubio, thank you for your conviction and diplomacy, for ensuring the hostages and their families never left the agenda, and for leading with strength and humanity.

Thank you to the senior members of the Trump administration, who were available to us around the clock, opened the @WhiteHouse doors to us at all times, even when no one else would speak with us. Their determination and dedication brought us to this long-awaited moment.

We are deeply grateful to the Hungarian government, which stood by us throughout this ordeal, both as an ally and because Omri is a Hungarian citizen. Your care and advocacy made a real difference.

To the many communities around the world who carried us in their hearts and actions, thank you. And to the New York community, where my brother @MosheELavi lives, thank you for your tireless advocacy and love.

Hamas must be held accountable for the crimes of October 7, and so must all who aided or justified them. Only through truth, justice, and accountability can we rebuild for the victims, their families, and the future our children deserve.

Lastly, I want to mention that there are still 24 hostages held by Hamas, whose families long for closure. They deserve to be honored and given a proper burial. I call on the international community to keep pressuring Hamas. We will not stop our struggle as families until all the remaining 24 hostages are home.
