@Eyesandvibes Gattuso loves him, under him he started every game at the 8 and they organized the team around him. Not saying that would absolutely happen but he would play every game. Leeds would be a better fit though...but hes had 10 coaches in 5 years...going to Lazio means not hitting 11..

@usmntaut This is the one case where Gattuso loves him. Will only play him as an 8. Will feature him as the hub of the team. I agree serie a is a terrible fit and Leeds would be ideal or another league but he’s had 10 coaches in 5 years. At least this wouldn’t make it 11.

@Rossoneri_ar He played very well under Gattuso who consistently played him in his position as an 8…consistent playing time in one position is what he needs.

@starsnstripesfc @ConcacafEdgar The only reason it would be good is that he played his best ball under Gattuso who believes he should only play as an 8 and will star him in the squad. He will play every week. I think Leeds and another league would be a better fit but it’s not a bad option…

@yanks_reporter Perfect fit. A ball winner with a huge gas tank in a team pressing and countering. Can defend multiple positions. Game translates so much better given he trained to play there. He’s already got friends there…

@six45ci @_captainpulisic He has definitely evolved, he’s more likely to make a move now to get space and then hit a vertical pass which is usually better…proof is irrelevant depending on the coach. Berhalter in 20 min made mistakes on two goals vs Belgium in a friendly and started the following match.

@_RB_Ash He’s a good ball winner and 1v1 defender. Adams breaks up plays, Musah takes the ball of guys in the press and advances it quickly into counters. Huge motor. One of the better fits for what he does well.

@PSGINT_ They were flagged for offsides a couple times incorrectly which is a killer against a high line. Mbappe timed his runs well and they blew the whistle…those calls could account for a lot of xG

@Legion681 @DietmarHamann Right, If he jumped sideways into the ball (when do you ever see that) he’s gunna hit it with his arm…by human physiology. So it’s Intentional. If there is no defender there and the ball comes down and he scores…is it a goal? If he could get to to ball without his arm, penalty.

@Chels1an They did blow offsides incorrectly multiple times which is against protocols and Messed with mbappe…against a high line, runs in behind are usually the best opportunities.

@alieltumi There were two offsides calls one was way off in the first half that were whistled when Spain was playing a high line and mbappe got in behind…they are supposed to let those play out. That was kinda suspect. At the World Cup you really can’t have that…the world is watching

@_Dr_Anon @DietmarHamann But his arm was there and he is aware of that…it doesn’t matter if he could have made it without an arm…If he was able to make contact without it hitting his arm he deserves the penalty but that’s the way he choose to go into the ball and you can’t do that on a 50-50

@someballfacts The two offside whistles before halftime were really bad, if it’s close you gotta let it play. At least one, if not both were very clearly onside. Spain played a high line so shutting down runs in behind was not a good look because your taking the decision away from var.
