@RutgersAltRoute A3: Mindset-conscious framing involves emphasizing effort over innate ability, highlighting progress, learning from mistakes, and celebrating perseverance to cultivate a growth mindset. #teacherED#growthmindset
@RutgersAltRoute A2: Teachers can foster a growth mindset by praising effort, providing challenging yet achievable tasks, encouraging risk-taking, offering constructive feedback, and creating a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning.#teacherED#growthmindset
@RutgersAltRoute Current challenges I face are I have students with IEPs and they don’t have enough programs to help them be more engaged with the content. And I’d love to see a lot of different approaches for kids who have IEPs and programs to help them achieve understanding of the content.
@RutgersAltRoute I would include the topics the students are discussing during class and also add slides so the parents could read/learn alongside the students. It could connect the parents with the lesson and also set up future discussions with the teacher and have all three connected. #edtech
@RutgersAltRoute A3: technology helps me collaborate with colleagues because it’s a lot easier to receive feedback on lesson plans as well as teaching tips #teachered#edtech
@RutgersAltRoute A2: A few barriers I’ve encountered while using technology is that a few tabs would be open for the students and they would click on YouTube and games. I overcame this barrier by actively monitoring the students and using a program named Hapara that helps me close the apps.
@RutgersAltRoute A1: for my classroom, I like to have online review games at the end of units. And the students stayed engaged with the game of the subject and use their Chromebooks to answer the given question on the projector.
