This may as well be an iPhone ad. Shot from Mount Wilson north of Los Angeles. Never would’ve dreamed of seeing #aurora here, much less capturing it with an iPhone. Breathtaking
@vihhlm There are little turnouts along the windy Red Box Rd. Gotta be careful in the dark since it’s sometimes a sheer cliff if you go too far off, but there’s usually plenty of space to be safely off the road. Make sure you have a clear view to the north!
@dr_dappleton Shot them around midnight. There were a good number of cars but wasn’t too hard to find a good turnout. I’d bet tonight is a lot tougher since the word is out
@doodoodeee The long camera exposure makes it appear brighter, but yes it was visible with the naked eye last night. I was shocked that even the pillars were visible
