@BrendaPurington@WilliamWolfe The first time the law amendment passed, it was via a raised ballot of vote with a different context surrounding it. This time the core issue is the same, but it was on paper this time, which I’m thankful for. There’s no room for speculation on the results. The Mayor has spoken.
@baptist_news Your headline is click bait. Let me be the first to say “By what standard” was debate cut short? The convention overwhelmingly supported calling the question. We are sovereign in our own sphere and the Lord his sovereign over all.
@keahbone It’s just like those adult diapers it depends if she’ll be preaching to the gathered church. Or more specifically if the Church violates the amendment.
“ the amendment says what it says.” @pastorclint
Nobody’s coming after your women servants, I mean Deacons.
@martyestes@keahbone Brothers please try to just read the amendment not read into it. As our president, so eloquently stated “ the amendment says what it says” @pastorclint
@bartbarber That’s fair. That’s what I seem to hear in opposition. Do you think we could learn from a biblical Church discipline process even though the SBC is not a church? I would love to hear your thoughts on Willie Rice’s proposed task force.
@bartbarber Can you help me understand how Truth and Unity Ammendment is too broad? Dr Mohler has narrowed the focus to what the 90 percent has affirmed by the such as statement in the amendment about preaching to the gathered congregation.
@PastorMikeStone@Pastor_Gabe What a shame on them for not wanting to remove the gay affirming church! Thank you for calling them out for being out of order with the Bible and our governing documents!
I know the SBC is not a church
but this feels like church discipline which many people have not seen.
