Shan Ogdemli: Painting the Frequency of Light https://t.co/e0Kbuw94it via @YouTube
This documentary produced by Vivid Arts TV provides a fascinating insight into Shan Ogdemli’s life and art, showing the techniques she uses to blend light and color with science and spirituality.
Once again fine artist Shan Ogdemli and I would like to thank the Stables Gallery and the amazing team from the Taos Abstract Artist Collective Spring Exhibition. The catalog featuring all of the art at the show turned out beautifully. It will be a collector’s piece one day! You may still have the chance to order it.
I’d like to thank the team the Taos Fine Art Collective for throwing such a wonderful show at the Stables Gallery!
The turnout was wonderful and as usual a fascinating crowd of art lovers. Came to talk art. Taos again proved that is an artists’ paradise.
This acrylic painting is called ‘Pink Supernova.’ It is inspired by supernova explosions in space that leave behind brilliantly colored gas nebulae.
The turnout for the Art Tour’s Opening Reception was amazing and exceptionally crowded. If you don’t like large crowds you can visit the Santa Fe Community Center all month where you will be able to breathe while viewing the art.
This acrylic painting by Shan Ogdemli is called ‘Green Light Portal.’ It’s inspired by the birth and death of stars, black holes, creation, annihilation and portals to alternate universes. With all of that said, it’s a beautiful piece for meditation.
New works by Shan Ogdemli will be introduced at Aurelia Gallery, 414 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM from 5:00-8:00pm. About this painting: Red Supernova, 2026, 36” x 42,” acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas. Inspired by supernova explosions, signifying transformation, the death of a star and the birth of a nebula. @elonmusk
@VividProwess Inbar Hayman was studying graphic design. As a person who once owned a graphic design studio, I am doubly crest fallen. I too believe that art can influence perceptions which in turn can change the world. We lost a peace warrior. May her memory be a blessing.
Shan Ogdemli celebrating the successful opening reception with Marius, the owner of Aurelia Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. The turnout was fantastic. Thank you to all the Santa Feans and art lovers who came from out-of-town to see Shan's art. The art will be on display until November 16.
If you’re in the Santa Fe area or are a fan of Shan Ogdemli’s art please join her at the Opening Reception of her solo show on Friday, October 3, 2025. Several genres of Shan’s art will be displayed; from Shan’s pieces depicting her fascination with geometry in nature and cosmic phenomenon to her most current desert skyscrape studies with an emphasis on color and The Frequency of Light.
Thank you to all of the Santa Fe-ans and tourists for making the annual Santa Fe Studio Tour so successful. About 90 artists welcomed the public into their homes and studios. Shan Ogdemli, the artist, and I, the compadre, were busy both weekends, from the moment it started to the moment it ended. Since most of you don’t live in Santa Fe, this is what our home gallery looked like.

Shan Ogdemli, “High Desert Sunset” 66 x 40 inches, acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas. Shan said she was “Inspired by the amazing ever-changing skies of Santa Fe. At times fiery and dramatic, they can also be serene and subtle, which is what I tried to capture here. It’s like the sky has a personality of its own with different moods. I never get tired of admiring it.”
Come and meet her during the Santa Fe Studio Tour - coming up on the weekends of June 21-22 and June 28-29!

Shan Ogdemli’s latest in her Mini Series, “Pink Spiral Vortex Mini" is 8 x 8 x 2.5 inches, is acrylic with diatomaceous earth on wood. It’s inspired by spirals in nature such as the Fibonacci formations in plants and the spirals in sea shells, hurricanes, and galaxies. The recurrence of geometric forms across phenomena seems to Shan as “evidence of a divine intelligence permeating all of existence.” It will be on display in October at Shan's solo show in Santa Fe. More information to follow.
