Yesterday, we filled our lawsuit against the Governor.
Today, we rally for @AvaFlanell_ who is the strongest fighter for our gun rights in the Capital.
We hope to see you there.

We warned Governor Polis that if he signed HB26-1126, we would sue.
He signed it anyway.
Today, CSSA is announcing our lawsuit challenging a law that allows government officials to obtain firearm purchase records from gun stores without a warrant, probable cause, or even a stated reason.
The Constitution doesn't disappear when you exercise your Second Amendment rights. This lawsuit is about defending both the 2nd and 4th Amendments.
See you in court.

Today we announced the filing of a federal lawsuit against House Bill 26-1126. This bill allows government agents to walk into gun stores and obtain the records of law-abiding citizens without a warrant, probable cause, or even a stated reason.
CSSA warned @GovofCO that signing this bill would trigger immediate legal action. He chose to sign it anyway, and today we've delivered swiftly on our promise.
Thank you to every CSSA member for making this work possible. God bless Colorado, and God bless America!

.@CSSA1926 has officially filed our lawsuit challenging House Bill 26-1126, which allows state agents to obtain firearm purchase records without a warrant or probable cause.
These kinds of tyrannical policies by the British are exactly what sparked the American Revolution, and informed the inclusion of the Second and Fourth Amendments in our Constitution.
Our ancestors simply would not tolerate state lists of gun owners, and neither will we.

Violent criminals don't follow gun laws.
Yet Governor Polis responded to violent crime by signing SB3—the Polis Gun Ban—placing new barriers on law-abiding Coloradans while criminals continue to prey on our communities.
CSSA is fighting back in court and in the elections.
This is just the beginning.
@GovofCO, we will see you in court!

NEW AD DROPPING TODAY.
SB3, the @jaredpolis Gun Ban, forces Coloradans to get government permission before purchasing many commonly owned firearms.
The politicians who passed it should be held accountable. Stay tuned. #copolitics#2A#Guns
.@GovofCO signed HB26-1126.
Any peace officer can demand firearm purchaser records from a gun store.
No warrant.
No probable cause.
No reason required.
We said we’d sue if he signed it.
See you in court.
Grassroots works. Thanks to thousands of Colorado gun owners, CSSA’s Small Donor Committee has raised and spent more than any other conservative small donor committee in Colorado this election cycle—and ranks 5th overall among all committees, regardless of ideology.

The more we look at the new list of restricted guns, the more we understand that we are not dealing with intelligent life at the @CO_Revenue.
#COPolitics#guns#coleg#2A
Remember when @GovofCO said that SB3 would only target "advanced weaponry" that only the rich could buy? The list produced this week on the guns that are covered by SB3 includes the @Ruger_Firearms 10/22.
Gov Polis is a liar or incompetent... or both.
We will see you in court!
The draft list of firearms to be regulated by SB25-003 in August of this year bans more than 50 .22 LR rifles or handguns, a pump action shotgun, and bolt action rifles.
CSSA's and @MSLF's lawsuit against this bill just became even more important.

The legislative session is nearing its end, but the fight for gun rights in Colorado is only heating up.
CSSA spent this session in the trenches:
• Fighting anti-gun legislation
• Organizing grassroots pressure
• Preparing legal strategy
• Advocating for federal attention on Colorado
Now the DOJ is stepping in against unconstitutional anti-gun policies in our state.
Still, lawsuits are looming. Elections are coming. And anti-gun extremists are already planning their next move.
We need to keep the pressure on and the war chest full.
Donate today. Fuel the fight. Get some great coffee while you’re at it. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/GL1RtrieZI

We’re excited to see the DOJ taking action to defend gun rights in Colorado following months of sustained advocacy by @CSSA1926 for federal support.
On April 28, 2026, the DOJ sent a letter to Denver Mayor @MikeJohnstonCO demanding a repeal of the city’s “assault weapons” ban.
This comes exactly one year after CSSA submitted a formal letter to the DOJ highlighting Colorado’s many violations of the Second Amendment, including Denver’s “assault weapons” ban, and only 11 days after myself, CSSA president Ray Elliott, and CSSA vice president of industry relations Teddy Collins met face-to-face with Acting AG Todd Blanche, and reiterated our request for support in CO.
We made the case forcefully and at the highest level — and now we’re seeing results.
Thank you, @dojphofficial and @DAGToddBlanche for and taking this bold and necessary action to defend our Constitutional freedoms.
With thousands of members across the state, including many in the City of Denver, CSSA is ready and willing to support the DOJ’s fight against this unconstitutional ordinance.

After months of advocacy by CSSA, the U.S. Department of Justice has now demanded that Denver repeal its “assault weapons” ban.
This comes:
• Exactly one year after our formal letter to Pam Bondi calling out Denver’s law
• Just 11 days after CSSA leadership met directly with Acting AG Todd Blanche and urged him to take action
We made the case forcefully and at the highest levels—and now we’re seeing action.
Denver’s ban is unconstitutional. And we’re not backing down.
This is what real advocacy looks like.

Could not agree more. As a school shooting survivor, I know my support of @RepFlanell will do more to make Colorado safe, than @GIFFORDS_org has ever done. Groups like Giffords push policies that increase the frequency and number of casualties of the type of tragedy I survived.
Gun control only takes guns away from law abiding citizens. Gun control groups like @GIFFORDS_org are illogical and idiotic in their assumption that if there is one more law, murderers will not kill with guns. They forget, THESE ARE CRIMINALS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW.
This is what leadership looks like. Teddy Collins (CSSA board member) presents a check for the maximum donation legally allowed from our small dollar donor committee to Danielle Lammon, who is challenging Senator Tom Sullivan. This is going to be a tough fight but we are all in.
