[San Bernardino County Fire @SBCOUNTYFIRE]

Last month, San Bernardino Fire and @CALFIREBDU partnered on a large fuel reduction project in the hills above San Bernardino. Our post from June 22 has more details on this. This video is shot from one of our drones and gives you a bird’s eye view of the scope of the undertaking. You will hear from our recently retired superintendent of Old Cajon Crew 6, Matt Toploeski, who visited the project site and shared his thoughts.

UPDATE: SBC Fire resources continue assisting with a vegetation fire in San Luis Obispo County along Highway 166. Multiple spot fires have been reported, with the largest estimated at approximately 10 acres. Highway 166 remains closed from US 101 to Tepusquet Road. Additional information will be provided by CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo County.

Not sure if it’s actually going to be 104 tomorrow but I guess we’ll see, but either way it’s looking pretty hot tomorrow throughout this week and the following week otherwise, won’t be surprised to see more big fires.

#VolcanoFire Air Attack 330 is Released, Copter 605 and Helitanker 9CU remain assigned for the Fire tonight.

Fire Activity has Moderated Significantly with some flare ups that get picked up by the Copter, most of the Evacuation Orders were brought down to Warnings, RVC-2146 remains under an Evacuation Order.
