@SergeantLevitt@GolfChannel You haven’t seen many U.S. Opens, I guess. Anyway, there are ten guys under par right now. Let’s see how this looks on Sunday.
@KendoVT I’m old enough to remember when it had status. But the reality is it’s a boring course with bunkers and water and simple shot-to-shot strategy. It’s an artifact of a different time and aesthetic.
@ptbrennan11 You must not be aware that major renovations for all three courses were planned by the NLT and had just begun before the lease termination. They were going to make all three courses substantially better. I would take their plans over whatever Fazio cooks up any day of the week.
@ptbrennan11 The three courses are in pretty distinct areas of the city. Reaching East Potomac is far easier for some than Rock Creek, especially if they’re squeezing it into their schedule. The sheer amount of traffic at East Potomac would indicate that you’re wrong about its viability.
@BrianCoey@TZurybida Not 6.5. 8.5, so very close. And it’s hard to know where the line was drawn and how it accounts for the renovation that had just begun at Rock Creek. The DoI didn’t cite this in their first notice on October 29th. Stop trying to justify this.
@BrianCoey@TZurybida In their lease agreement, rent payments could be offset by capital investments. It’s all documented in the lease and in their accounting.
