@Larchwood20 A thief disassembles your car and takes the engine, transmission, tires, etc. You then confront him and he says "I didn't steal your car; I took the parts that make it up."

It's not unique to people who think the Trinity is true. It's a standard question in metaphysics about what something an individual. Dictionaries frequently give only the theological use and omit the rest. Origin doesnβt decide truth. The actual issue is whether personal distinction necessarily multiplies the being. Youβre still assuming it does. I love your X feed. The dang ORG is an atheist creating machine. Usually whatever they say the opposite is true.
Jesus didnβt talk about individuation theory. Neither did He teach that every personal distinction automatically creates a separate individual being. Youβre importing that rule and then demanding He refute it in your preferred vocabulary. The actual issue is whether the stronger claim (one undivided essence, distinct persons) is coherent. Calling it a collapse doesnβt make the generic-only reading the default.β If we could understand God then he wouldn't be God. It's like trying to comprehend infinity.
@Jerome16235677@5Solas Same class is not the same as same individual essence. Youβre collapsing the two. Once you keep them distinct, βsame being, distinct personsβ it's not a contradiction it's just a claim that an infinite essence is not "individuated" the way finite natures are.β
@Jerome16235677@5Solas βBeing/essenceβ and βpersonβ are distinguished. God is one in essence and three in person. I had a hard time understanding this since I grew up in a cult. Then one day it clicked and it makes perfect sense to me. I didn't know what I didn't know.
@cybrtrkguy@niccruzpatane I paid cash for a 2025 Model 3 awd premium that had 1k miles on it with cash thanks to Dave Ramsey. Everyone around me is broke.
