I was deadly waiting for my workplace action for Asian hate crime. And I saw this (on my first year anniversary day at Amgen). So glad to see this and happy to be part of this workplace.
We stand in solidarity with our Asian American and Pacific Islander staff. The senseless killings in Atlanta and the rising tide in hate crimes against Asian Americans are a sad reminder that the journey to end racism in our society is far from complete.

Be careful about ruling out #COVID19 infection based on a negative RT-PCR result. Particularly soon after potential infection. See our analysis in @AnnalsofIM with @LKucirka@salauer_biostat@DenaliBoon and Oliver Laeyendecker to see why. https://t.co/aUJNhj4Sir
Voters at the polls during a pandemic. Most told us they had few worries as they cast their ballot and were happy with the measures. Voters queue 1 m apart, have temperature taken, wear a mask and plastic gloves, cast their ballot, ballot booth is disinfected. Done!
#AcademicTwitter, Iโm seeing a lot talk lately about incorporating #COVID into future courses, & I would like to caution that many of our students, for years to come, will have lost loved ones in this pandemic & they wonโt see it as a โfun exampleโ. Please proceed carefully.
Delighted to take an hour out of #COVID19 response to learn from @fotikat and colleagues @JohnsHopkinsSPH about reducing racial disparities in control of hypertension and the importance of better BP measurement and the potential impact of better control. Congratulations Kathryn!
.@korobsky is making the 4th year Katherine/yns proud in her PhD defense...and also confirming my long-standing suspicion that sheโs a secret social epidemiologist with this framework. Congrats Dr. Robsky!
An important new preprint finds that children are just as likely as adults to be infected. This is a key piece of data that may support school closures as an effective intervention. https://t.co/w5E0N0InTU
Very excited to finally have this preprint out with @QifangB@Shaun_Truelove and numerous collaborators in China (who did the hard work of collecting the data). Hopefully it this new info helps to inform the public health response.
