Logistics is, once again, irrelevant. This is not an issue with NY players. They have given significant effort in NY to prepare for this week. Point remains the same - fair to fly a team in to play a semi final against a team that has played 5/6 weeks? If yes, then fair enough.
New York are a serious outfit and I’ve no issue with them competing, but entering at this stage? How many lads dreamed of winning these competitions? I know 120 players that didn’t get that opportunity.
Two All-Irelands from four games - how many others get that chance?
For the second summer running, the New York hurlers can call themselves All-Ireland champions after capturing a maiden Nickey Rackard Cup title #rtegaa#hurling

@MikeyCullen Galway clubs qualify through an extremely competitive championship to qualify for the All-Ireland series. Yes, there was a time when Galway qualified straight through from Connaught. That was amended years ago, for good reason. (2/2)
@MikeyCullen As I said, I have no issue with New York competing in the championship. Obviously have to start out somewhere. It’s a matter of how, not what. Connaught league was pre-league competition and not a read on any. Player turnover also irrelevant in this conversation. (1/2)
