She made a gender swapped Mxyzptlk who casually references punitive action taken against her by the Endless which is the kind of intertextuality that I can get behind!
@HertzBarry I wonder how much this has to do with Ticketmaster as an intermediary. I don’t know anything about their tech but it seems like it was designed to sell tickets for single events at much larger venues than what TIFF offers. The task of making that database play nice cannot be easy
The movie takes place in ‘02, so this machine would have been a bit long in the tooth. But my friend Steve’s family had a similar model in their den in ‘03 so I think it’s period appropriate.
Excited to announce that my 1998 grape iMac is making its on-screen debut in @clevack’s first feature… as long as it made it into the final edit.
Either way, I’m really proud of my friend and excited to see this movie.
The World Premiere of Chandler Levack’s (@clevack) debut, I LIKE MOVIES, follows a self-obsessed teenager pursuing his dreams and testing relationships in suburban Ontario, with @neetsaiah, Romina D’Ugo, and @MeKristaBridges#TIFF22 https://t.co/aE33euL2bK
step aside spielberg, there's a new fableman in town... it's the honour of my life to premiere my very first feature "I LIKE MOVIES" - a coming of age film about a deluded teenaged cinephile - at my 17th (!) @TIFF_NET. the film belongs to @neetsaiah and he is the best📼💿
