For what it's worth, I don't think there will be a big, apocalyptic Day After Tomorrow-style moment where Twitter ends.
The glitches have already piled up. People who left are predicting outages. But most importantly, it's unclear how the company is going to make money now.

@Foone One of the biggest loses of modern technology is how difficult it is for an enterprising curious child to break it in a way that forces them to try to fix it before anyone finds out. Be it the hardware itself or the software running on it.

@Campster I mean, he decided to "disrupt" the car industry by treating it as a software engineering problem as well. And sure his cars catch on fire, kill people, and get confused by the moon, but to be fair most of those issues wouldn't exist if wouldn't treat cars as a software platform.
