BB narrator voice: Day 1, 2 hours in, Daniel is still sat at Cafe Nero, wondering how long is acceptable to sit at the same table having only ordered a chocolate and caramel crunchy coming in at £2.70. T mins 30 min until baggage drop-off, then he will explore the departures area
Top tip for attending a scientific conference: book a return flight that isn’t 9 hours after the end of the conference, especially if you’re planning to be unwell for 36h during it. 4 h into waiting and at this point I wish I had just taken the train..I’d be half way there by now
Although, the Cafe Nero chair is comfortable, and the soothing Scottish bagpipe music is actually quite calming..could definitely sneak in a few winks before I drop off my baggage
Thank you @MicrobioSoc for a really wonderful conference! It is always great to attend these, and lovely to catch up with old friends..and meet new ones! @electromicrodj@KasiaMParfitt
