I am old enough to remember waiting for songs to come on the radio and record them to a cassette tape. I was in elementary school when I did it and I was born in 1988. But also Napster… and limewire.
How we got music for free:
Gen Z: Use your parents' Spotify.
Millennial: Napster and wait one day for the song to download.
Gen X: Put your tape deck's microphone near your radio, call into the radio station and request the song, and then hit record when the DJ introduces it hoping he doesn't talk over it.
@brianne2k There is something like this. It’s not a truck but they come to you! I looked at it once but it’s stupid expensive lol it’s mainly marketed to older folks and new moms!
@brianne2k I used to use the Freedom app to block myself from work related apps after a certain time of day it was so useful! Could def apply to any limits you feel you need! It does cost but it was worth it for me bc I kept seeing annoying emails at 9pm lol
