⚠️ long post alert ⚠️
This morning we should have been starting our trip to Las Vegas but due to being unable to travel due to having frame on his leg and loveholidays being the most incompetent travel agent I have every used we won’t be going.
On the 9th Jan we made enquiries to move the trip to May which would allow extra recovery time. Loveholidays sent a link for us to request a quote for the amendments who came back with £11048.22!!! It didn’t cost us half of that to book the original trip so not sure where the pulled the figures from. After also phoning and speaking to Virgin who our flight was booked with we were advised on what to do. Virgin explained that we should only pay the difference between the flight price per person plus an amendment of which would be waived with medical certificate. At the time of speaking to the lady at Virgin the price difference was £137pp a massive difference love holidays quotation!
I responded to loveholidays quoting what Virgin had said and the cost of the trip was reduced to £3854 within an hour an half still absolutely ridiculous. We might aswell have just rebooked the full holiday again.
After 5weeks of backwards and forwards speaking to loveholidays, emailing medical certificates, false promises aasking them to speak to Virgin sales support at the request of Virgin as they were wanting to help us resolve the situation directly with them as love holidays wasn’t complying with t&cs of sales, We have had to miss out on the trip which was planned for a 40th birthday an loose a massive amount of money over something which should have been so simple to do.
MORAL of the long post is to warn people. DO NOT use Love holidays. They are the most unhelpful travel agency and seem to be all about keeping money in the bank!

This week, I’m flying to London to watch @SheffieldUnited United play in the Championship Final at Wembley.
As a shareholder and board member, I’ll have a front-row seat.
But in my heart, I’ll be that boy from Tehran again — playing barefoot on dirt fields, chasing a ball with no nets, no grass, just dreams.
When I immigrated to the U.S. with nothing — no money, no connections, just hope — I never imagined I’d one day be part of a legendary football club, on the cusp of the Premier League.
This moment means more than I can explain. It’s not just about football. It’s about believing that anything is possible.
It’s about everyone who ever gave me a chance when I had nothing to offer but my work ethic.
It’s about those who bought a rug from me when I was just trying to make rent.
It’s about friends who saw something in me before I saw it in myself.
To everyone who believed in me, stood by me, or even just gave me a kind word when I needed it most — thank you. This is your victory, too.
Wembley, here we come.
