People who don't practice criminal law don't know how rare this is. The City Attorney in Los Angeles is being ordered to turn over lots of evidence because a strong initial case was demonstrated that she conspired to commit serious federal crimes and state ethical violations:
Thank you @hasanthehun for speaking with the brave men and featuring them on your stream.

Today I was granted access to speak with incarcerated firefighters.
They told me:
- they hadn’t showered in 5 days
- they were not provided regularly meals
- they were working 24 hours in a row
- they feel under appreciated and underpaid
Cops arrested and towed the RV of two folks I know Wednesday afternoon. They lost their shelter and all their belongings while ash flew through the air and air quality was upwards of 300. This encampment of 30+ folks reports having no contact with LAHSA in the past 72 hrs.
.@mayorofla Karen Bass loves talking about moving people indoors, but she never mentions how many she throws back on the street. Let’s look at how Inside Safe has repeatedly brutalized, displaced, and separated one @cd13losangeles resident, who we’ll call C, from his community.🧵
Birth certificate. Eyeglasses. Cell phone. Teddy bear. Sewing machine. Hep C medication. Breast pump. Bible. Urns of ashes.
@propublica spoke with people across the US about what they lost during encampment sweeps. Please spend time with this. https://t.co/Ai4xadcUlJ
For almost 4 yrs I've managed a texting service that unhoused ppl, service providers, journalists, and even some city workers subscribe to. I've mostly sent out sanitation schedules that the city refuses to make public. Recently I sent me 1,000th "broadcast" and hit 185 subs.
While reporting on a sanitation sweep this morning, LAPD officers handcuffed and searched me, confiscated my belongings and put me in the back of a patrol car for about 45 mins. They said they were going to take me "to the station" but a sergeant let me go w/o any charges.@LATACO
I'm out of LAPD custody and safe now. Thank you to Adam for being there and getting the word out quickly. And to my team @LATACO for dropping everything to support me 💚. I'm still in shock. Will have more to say later.
Last night an LAPD commander called me out of the blue. They said they want to "de-escalate" tensions at encampment sweeps. I told them they should tell their officers to stop threatening to arrest me and let me do my job! @LATACO
NOW: Activists with IfNotNowLA are inside the building housing AIPAC's LA HQ calling for a ceasefire.
Don't have service to upload videos in here but Rabbi Aryeh Cohen is speaking, saying AIPAC doesn't represent Jewish Values. 4 LAPD officers outside the building
Officials all over the state continue to deny journalists access to encampment sweeps and threaten them with arrest. Same thing happened to me in Los Angeles yesterday.
Over 20 organizations - including @FACoalition, @ACLU_SoCal, @SPJLA and @LAPressClub - sign letter demanding that California officials respect journalist's 1st amendment rights and ensure transparency at homeless sweeps. @LATACO https://t.co/gk7gVOGJLl
@CD5LosAngeles when we met with you a month ago, you told us you thought a policy on downgrading sweeps to spot cleans in excessive heat was important and urgent. Why is your office continuing to schedule sweeps during an excessive heat advisory?
