This is truly shocking. This is nothing like how my grandfather was treated in the 80s and 90s. When he arrived early at the Fieldgate Street synagogue for morning prayer and was waiting for it to open, he was welcomed next door at the Mosque (Maryam Centre), which treated elderly congregants from the synagogue with utmost respect. The degradation we see today is numbing to the core.
