We do not rediscover the image of God in isolation. It is in community, in our relationships with others, that we come to see one another as bearers of the divine image. Our identity is formed through the practices of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation within the body of Christ.
@SkinnerPm I appreciate this so much. My oldest kids and their families live there including a newborn. Can’t do much for them from Waycross and thankful for the community Savannah has.

That line about the Spirit being with you in preparation. That’s really challenged how I preach and helped reveal how much I was dependent upon being able to entertain or enthrall.

I’ve certainly let jokes slip that I wish I could’ve taken back.
I cut down on that a lot when I committed to trusting that the Spirit was as present with me in my preparation as in the pulpit.
And when I understood the permanence of preaching in front of cameras. 2/4
