As an Australian (where bike helmets are compulsory) I find the proportion of cyclists in NYC without helmets jarring.
Yeah I get it that helmet laws are anti-freedom.
Americans have the freedom to be stupid.
But I don't understand why you need to demonstrate that freedom.
@ottleti i think even in that scenario it still depends. the 2nd best team might fight against variance more than the 7th best team. where you practice even matters. (you practice in cold crappy weather you naturally become more at home in a short game. Alot more to say but not the venue!
@John_Hempton was that your opening prep and he just walked into a trap? no mistakes or blunders on his part but over by move 13. Guessing he realized he was dropping a pawn and to save the pawn he ended up down a piece?
@Zamyz_ but have you ever thought you were pulling down wind, put extra height on it and watch as the pull boomerangs, goes out of bounds 5 yards from your goal & lands behind you?
@John_Hempton I’ll take the bait. Fred gambit gone wrong? 1) e4 f5 2) exf5 g6 3) fxg6 h5 4)g4 Nf6 5) gxh5 Nxh5 6) Qxh5 e6 7) g7+ and win the rook with promotion and yeah all the blunders
MA X: @TeamJughandle up 13-12 on @loco_ultimate, game to 14. Loco receives but they turn it. Crossfield huck is good for Jug! They win 14-12, and are headed to Natties
