The question of cost of unga will no longer be a campaign agenda in Kiambu County.
For the last four years, we have been distributing free certified maize, bean, and fertilizer to over 750, 000 farmers to address food security.
In the four years, the county has not depended on relief food like before.
Yesterday we were in Ngecha, Limuru Constituency.

Kiambu County Government and the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA) has in the last two days trained 80 surgery doctors from 12 counties as well as the Kenya Defence Forces on laparoscopy surgery.
The training included live surgeries at Kiambu Level Five where the surgeons were trained on the advanced surgery that uses small cuts instead of large ones.
Laparoscopy causes less pain, reduces blood loss, and allows patients to heal faster

Thogoto Level Four Hospital in Kikuyu Township Ward, Kikuyu Sub-County, is nearing completion.
The state-of-the-art healthcare facility project had stalled since 2016, but its construction is now 95 percent complete.
Every tile laid, every ceiling panel installed, and plumbing and electrical systems in place reflect the dedication and precision of the project.
Door installations are in progress, marking the final touches to an infrastructure poised to elevate healthcare standards.
Once complete, the 150-bed facility will serve the densely populated Kikuyu Sub-County and parts of the nearby Ndeiya in Limuru.

This morning, together with other governors, I participated in a discussion with the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) as part of developing the fourth revenue-sharing formula between the National and County governments.
The conversation aimed to reassess the current third basis and gather input from county governments for the fourth formula, which will guide revenue sharing among the counties from 2025/26 to 2029/30.
During my address at the forum, I stressed the paramount importance of fairness in developing an equitable and just revenue-sharing formula for all Kenyans. It is crucial that no section of our population is disenfranchised or denied essential resources due to contentious parameters and questionable data.
I specifically opposed tampering with the figures previously used to determine how resources are shared. The key parameters of the poverty index, population, land mass and infrastructural development must be carefully and equitably considered in formulating the new revenue-sharing formula.
I called upon all stakeholders to ensure that these parameters are applied uniformly and transparently to prevent any form of bias or discrimination.
Asanteni sana watu wa Kijabe Ward, Lari Sub-County. Tutarudi tena.
Through our social economic empowerment programme, we distributed maize seeds and fertilizer to over 8, 000 farmers, which is part of our initiatives to sustain economic growth and eradicate poverty and food security in the county.

President @WilliamsRuto: " We want to build houses for citizens at an affordable cost. We want to remove slums so that every citizen can stay at a respectable place where they can afford. All those people who are sitting on government lands where we want to build affordable houses should be evicted immediately."
