Too many people’s ideas about God are formed by one-sided oneliners & half-truths
We have to carefully rethink our own posts about God beforehand.
It should form part of our daily spiritual disciplines to pray for wisdom regarding our presence & posts on social media
I don’t know which is worse--pastors who have taken the vow of ignorance ("I know enough and read enough"), the vow of arrogance ("I'm the leader--follow me"), or the vow of significance.
We are called to a life of service, not a life of significance. To serve God is to sanctify time. Participation in God’s mission in the world is the sanctification of time--and a lifetime of sanctified significance. Service is in itself significance, but a significance measured not in stats but stories, not in numbers but narratives. #serviceissignificance #TellMeYourStories
Spiritually maturity is not about reaching a point where you can make it on your own, but about admitting you'll never reach that point. Until then you don't understand Grace.
Do not separate from the community. Do not trust yourself until the day of your death.
Do not judge your fellow until you stand in his place
And do not say, 'When I have leisure I will study!' Perhaps you will ever have leisure
(Hillel. Mishnah Aboth 2. 5)
Rather too much than too little, please Lord:
*Too much respect for You & others rather than too little
*Too forgiving rather than too vindictive
*Too friendly rather than too unfriendly
*Too gracious rather than too discourteous
*Too generous rather than too miserly
Susan Anthony says: “ I distrust people who know so well what God wants them to do for it always coincides with their own desires.”
The Word of God nearly always goes against our own grain. It challenges our beliefs and ideas. And it does not make any excuses for doing so.
The cross is not what God inflicts in order to forgive; the cross is what God in Christ endures as he forgives. This is an essential and enormous clarification!

Some will force you into their moulds through guilt feelings & threats, but the Spirit will change you from glory to glory through love inside out. Grace walk!
