I think when you’re evolving from being a people pleaser into someone with more boundaries it can feel so strange, because it’s hard to tell if you’re being mean or if you’re just listening to your own feelings for once, because you’re so used to only thinking about others first.
It's a red flag when someone apologizes without changing their behavior because their apology is part of their toxic pattern. Keeping your distance from people who repeatedly give you all of the right words and none of the right actions is top tier self-care.
One of the best things I ever did was remove myself from people who thrive on chaos and drama. You don’t know how exhausting it is until you’re free from it. Your nervous system will thank you.
i don’t think people realize how much strength it takes to pull your own self out of a dark place mentally. so if you’ve done that today or any day, i’m proud of you! 💛
i genuinely believe life is just about finding what places and types of people are for you. i felt like an outsider for 22 years. this is the first time in my life where i’ve felt like i’m not an outsider bc the values i have & the energy i have match the ppl around me. finally
No matter how far down a path you’ve gone, it’s never too late to face yourself & make amends for any unhealthy/unkind choices you’ve made, control you’ve lost or harm you’ve caused. You’re stronger than you think to be able to shine a light on any darkness within & rise from it.
I realized that no one , not even my mother or close friends knows what I’m actually like in the inside of my head , and the only person who actually knows who I am is me
