Access to care and education saves lives.
During Black Maternal Health Week, @NJSenTurner attended the @capitalhealthnj Community Baby Shower, highlighting the importance of maternal health resources and support for families across New Jersey.
Today, I signed legislation eliminating certain practice restrictions for advanced practice nurses.
At a time of workforce shortages in the health care industry, we are committed to expanding access to care and driving down costs – not creating more barriers for New Jerseyans.
Every time Trump gets involved, he creates chaos for the American people. This latest proposal – deploying ICE agents to airports – is no different.
Trump’s ICE has a track record of making communities less safe, and sending untrained ICE agents to staff our airports is not an acceptable solution.
Instead, it’s time for Donald Trump and Washington Republicans to do their jobs and fund TSA.
We need measures to protect our kids’ privacy and to stop targeted ads to children. Measures to give parents more control and to require clearer warnings about risks.
My team and I look forward to working with the Legislature to pass comprehensive Kids Online Safety legislation, to protect ALL our children.
We owe it to them, and we owe it to the future.

Sherrill on Gateway Tunnel: This should be something that any president should welcome. And yet instead, we see the president attacking it. First he did because he wanted some DEI changes. And then he wanted DHS funding. And then he wanted Penn Station and Dulles Airport named after him.
And when people would say to me, “Why don’t you just do it?” I found that offensive. Because this isn’t his money. This is the people’s money. This is money that Congress said should be put to work for the people of this country. It isn’t his money to leverage for his own personal desires.
So it was illegal, and I said, “No, I’m not playing ball here. If you keep withholding the money, we’re going to court.” And we did.

Jason and I are sending our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the three U.S. service members killed in Iran.
As a former service members and parents, we are heartbroken by their loss and are praying for those injured and for the safety of all our brave service members, including the members of New Jersey's National Guard deployed to the region.
We honor the Tuskegee Institute Nurse-Midwife Program during Black History Month.
This program trained African American nurse-midwives to care for mothers and babies in communities with limited healthcare. Their work helped improve birth outcomes and saved lives.
