Yes, I do think anyone who works 8–9 hours a day should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with their paycheck alone, no matter what job they do. That's kind of the whole point of having a freaking job, and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.
We are living through a "Cost of Living Crisis" while corporations are reporting "Record Breaking Profits." These two things are not happening at the same time by accident. One is literally causing the other.
The UK has mastered one thing.
Paying people just enough to survive...
But never enough to actually get ahead.
Then acting shocked that everyone's struggling.
We need to bring back £500 rent, £40 full tanks of fuel, car insurance that actually gets cheaper every year and full trolley of food costing under £80.

We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1.
Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game. Until we understand that courage and bravery is controlling possession under pressure and not booting / heading it up the field 40 yards then this will always be the end result.
