A few of the improvements in the Angular router we landed recently:
‣ Optional NgModules with simplified loading of individual components
‣ More tree-shakable, letting you drop KBs from your bundle (11% of the bundle 💨)
‣ Support for functional guards, resolvers, etc.
‣ Passing params and data as inputs

...and obviously all this comes with nested routing, auxiliary routes, preloading, etc.
