@KlonnyPin_Gosch Russia has been raising the alarms about biolabs in Kenya since at least 2022 and they’ve existed for like 2 decades I believe.

Today is the birthday of Monika Ertl.
Known as “the woman who avenged Che Guevara,” Monika Ertl was the daughter of Hans Ertl, one of Nazi Germany’s leading propaganda filmmakers. After the Second World War, she fled to Bolivia with her family, like many nazi fugitives. Her father continued to associate there with figures such as Klaus Barbie, the Nazi war criminal known as the “Butcher of Lyon.”
However, Monika turned her back on everything that environment represented. In the late 1960s, affected by poverty and injustice in Bolivia, she broke away from the fascist world around her father and became radicalized. After Che Guevara was killed in Bolivia, she joined the National Liberation Army (ELN) that he had founded. Her codename was now “Imilla,” meaning “Little Girl” in an Indigenous language.
The event that made Monika Ertl known worldwide took place on April 1, 1971: the killing of Roberto Quintanilla, Bolivia’s consul in Hamburg and a former intelligence official considered one of those chiefly responsible for Che Guevara’s death. Quintanilla was one of the men who posed beside Che Guevara’s lifeless body and gave the order for his hands to be cut off.
Monika entered the consulate building in Hamburg disguised as an elegant woman. When she came face to face with Quintanilla, she drew her weapon and shot him three times. In the note she left at the scene were the words: “Hasta la victoria o muerte.” This act echoed worldwide as “Che’s revenge.”
After the assassination, Monika returned to Bolivia and continued underground activities. One of her biggest targets was to kidnap Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie, an old friend of her father who at that time was advising the Bolivian dictatorship.
However, on May 12, 1973, she was ambushed by Bolivian security forces. She was killed in a clash in the streets of La Paz. Her grave was kept secret and her body was never handed over to her family.
Monika Ertl became one of the most extreme examples of devotion to a cause by rejecting her origins and privileged life. As both a German and a Bolivian revolutionary, she became one of the symbols of the anti-fascist bridge between Europe and Latin America.
I'm in a private university and I can assure you that this is bullshit. Public universities set the standard for education. Remove them and eventually, even private universities will be nothing to write home about.
The issue is not affording and cost. It's about philosophical purpose. Education is a public good, and lack of public education will create an education system that destroys the public sphere because education is no longer accountable to the public.
Erling Haaland’s name and image turned up on hundreds of cocaine bricks seized by Ecuadorian police near the Colombian border. Officers found 469 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a truck and arrested a Colombian woman.
Gaza hosts the largest group of child amputees in modern history!
56,000+ children in Gaza have lost one or both parents.
74,000 children under 5 in Gaza will suffer acute malnutrition in the year to April 2027!
5,000+ children under age five, including 1,000+ infants & hundreds of newborns, were killed by Israel.
Kenyans confuse and conflate these terms:
“Government” with “State.”
“Public” with “Government.”
Government is NOT State.
Government owns nothing; it’s the Public that owns land and other assets.
Governments come and go but the State and The Public stay.
A political party may win periodic elections and be in charge of Government for the period it’s elected or in power, but it finds and leaves the State and The Public intact.
A State may collapse or dissolve from internal strife, conquest or revolutionary configurations, but The Public doesn’t.
However, THE PUBLIC comprises of DISTINCT PEOPLE(S) and NATIONS (which are vulgarly referred to as Tribes or Ethnic Groups).
The NATIONS or PEOPLES may relocate, migrate, or rename themselves, but they are the only SOVEREIGN with true OWNERSHIP of LAND, natural resources and assets within the State.
Embrace the use of words such as PUBLIC PROPERTY, PUBLIC LAND, and PUBLIC OFFICE—not government property, government land and government office. The former are words of empowerment and affirmation while the latter represents a deeply colonized language and world view.
In 1621, King Susneyos of Ethiopia sent a zebra to the Mughal ruler Jahangir
1257, King Dunama (Kanem) sent a giraffe to Tunis
1360, Mārī Jāṭā (Mali) sent a🦒 to the Marinid sultan
1402, Dawit (Ethiopia) sent leopards to the Doge of Venice
1415, Malindi (Kenya) sent a🦒to the Yongle Emperor, China
I saw that yesterday's @NationAfrica had not only the headline, but an additional 14 or so pages on next year's elections. We are in campaign mode for one year! This isn't normal, and most of all, it's so unhealthy. We won't work, we won't think long term, and resources are going to go to goonism, spectacle and bullshit. And worse, this one-year hysteria will raise tensions and fevers, to supposedly be resolved by people ticking a paper and putting it in a box, and hoping that the same government which has caused this hysteria will also count the ballots honestly. Yah yah, I know people will monitor the ballot counting, but that's again, energy and resources committed to the same thing.
We're doing this because our economy is anti-production and hostile to work. Survival depends on extraction and then competing over who gets what is extracted. We need a new political economy, surely.
The argument that the constitution guarantees a President or MP a five-year term is what is called a constitutional fallacy.
To be sure, the constitution guarantees no fixed time term to any elective office.
Not even one five or four-year term.
