@PedroLambertini Te lo gráfico:

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!

A new milestone: over 400 strategies created on @RujriaNetwork!
We want to thank our community for using CALC and helping us to achieve this great number of DCA strategies created. On our way too 500!

The Tokenomics of THORChain and Rujira – Part 7
Finally, after a short hiatus, here’s part seven of my series of tokenomics posts for @THORChain and @RujiraNetwork. As always, for those of you who haven't read the earlier ones (I'll leave a link in the replies for part six), here's the introduction:
You may have seen me going on and on about how the fundamentals of these projects are one of the main reasons I’m betting on them. Well, I guess it’s about time for me to get more specific regarding what I’m talking about – and what’s more fundamental than tokenomics? 😸 If those aren’t in order, rest assured that the rest of the project won’t be either.
Remember a basic rule of crypto: If you can’t explain where the yield is coming from, you are the yield!
I want to examine not only the main ecosystem tokens, i.e., $RUNE, $TCY and $RUJI, but also the $AUTO and $LQDY tokens from the Rujira ecosystem. This post is a bit different, though, as it’s the direct sequel to my last post about @CALC_Finance. This time I want to examine @CacaoSwap and its $YUM token, which is closely linked to CALC.
What is CacaoSwap?
CacaoSwap is a DEX that traces its roots back to the Kujira blockchain. They currently offer swap routes through THORChain, @Maya_Protocol, ChainFlip, and Squid Router.
CacaoSwap has also joined efforts with CALC to bring their DCA strategies to life on Rujira. 50% of all CALC revenues will be redirected towards $YUM staking yields - but we’ll come back to that. 😸
The basis of CacaoSwap is a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) called YUM DAO. This DAO manages the treasury funds of CacaoSwap, consisting of $YUM, $RUJI, $yTCY and, more recently, native $BTC and $ETH.
As the team themselves say, the front-end business is rather saturated at the moment, with many actors competing for the same customers. The team are aware of this, and are working behind the scenes with some plans and ideas that are likely to come to fruition in the not too distant future with the goal of accruing value for $YUM . 🔥
The YUM Token
$YUM is the governance token for CacaoSwap. Like e.g., @LiquidyFinance, CacaoSwap being a DAO means that there is more community involvement planned, but the plans are currently on hold as it’s a prerequisite that the $YUM token must be tradable on THORChain first. For now, the DAO is controlled by the founders and loyal long term Rujira ecosystem contributors .
Staking $YUM gives the stakers a piece of the revenue generated by user activity on CacaoSwap, and soon, that generated by CALC due to the fifty-fifty revenue split mentioned above. When you stake $YUM you get the $vYUM token instead, which is a liquid staked, auto-compounding token; that is, one $vYUM will become worth more and more $YUM over time depending on the staking APR (which is sitting at 36.76 % at the time of writing).
100 % of the fee revenue generated by CacaoSwap through various DeFi strategies is distributed to $YUM stakers. These stakers will also have voting rights in YUM DAO once this is fully operational.
The supply is fixed at 100M tokens, meaning $YUM is non-inflationary.
The initial token distribution is as follows:
🔹 40 % to the treasury to support the ongoing operations and development of CacaoSwap.
🔹 8 % was airdropped to holders of certain tokens and NFTs related to the Kujira and Maya Protocol ecosystems.
🔹 8 % is set aside for the so-called Voldrop, where users get rewarded in $YUM for actively using CacaoSwap.
🔹 33 % is set aside for liquidity efforts, i.e., building liquidity for $YUM pairs on selected AMMs.
🔹 11 % is set aside for core contributors, meaning team members who have been, and are, crucial for the ongoing development of CacaoSwap.
This means CacaoSwap has a healthy treasury, with 73 % of the tokens being controlled by the DAO for operations, development and liquidity provision. I’ve been told that the team isn’t planning on selling these tokens, though. They have a healthy treasury of $440k in non-$YUM tokens and are focused on new product development and features. The main purpose of this is to drive more volume, and thus capture more fees, in order to support a sustainable business model and keep rewarding the $YUM stakers.
In short, the entire $YUM supply is either controlled by YUM DAO or in the open market. Sounds good to me! 😸👌
Closing Remarks
While CacaoSwap might initially be mistaken for “just another” front-end, I believe there’s more to them than that.
First of all, there’s the connection with CALC, which means that the CacaoSwap team is involved in a crucial part of Rujira.
Then there’s the future plans of the team, currently not publicly known, that I believe will add even more value to $YUM stakers and CALC.
You can currently buy $YUM for $0.0079 per token, meaning that you can get yourself a nice bag quite cheaply - I’d say this is one of the better risk-reward plays in the ecosystem at the moment. 💪
I’d encourage interested readers to join the CacaoSwap Telegram channel to share ideas about the $YUM treasury management or potential opportunities for CacaoSwap. This will help the team and ensure that the community is as involved as possible. 👌
