WE DON’T HAVE THE VOTES:
Senate Majority Leader Thune said they had a spirited debate on the SAVE America Act.
No, this is a fabrication — not once did he force democrats to speak against voter ID‼️
Thune said they don’t have the votes to nuke the filibuster.
👉If Leader Thune won’t give us the SAVE America Act, then DEFEAT his top 2 allies — Cassidy & Cornyn👈

Hello Senator Thune,
Let's expose what you're really doing with "reconciliation."
You announced it yesterday, eleven months after the House passed the SAVE America Act. You're not trying to pass this bill. You're trying to kill it in a way you can blame on process.
Here's how we know:
Reconciliation requires the Senate parliamentarian to rule that provisions are "budgetary." Citizenship verification is not budgetary. Photo ID mandates are not budgetary. The parliamentarian will gut the bill. Then you'll shrug and say "we tried." We see through you.
Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work:
Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill.
Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results.
Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess.
Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate.
You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months.
Now let's talk donors:
• Goldman Sachs: $150K to you - top H-1B user
• Google: $75K - lobbies against E-Verify
• Meta: $72.5K - Zuckerberg's FWD[.]us pushes mass immigration
• Wells Fargo: $90K - banks undocumented immigrants
Same corporations sponsor Punchbowl News, where you sit for "Fly Out Days" which nobody watches except Congress staffers and K Street lobbyists who pays premium bucks for legislative intelligence. Their reporter then telegraphs to the audience the SAVE Act "will ultimately fail."
Corporate money flows to you AND to the outlet that frames your inaction as inevitable.
We see the loop.
You called grassroots anger a "paid influencer ecosystem." YOU are the paid influencer. You take the wrong side of a 80% issue because you are indistinguishable from a K Street mouthpiece, and an ineffective one to boot who won't bend the rules to get anything passed.
What we want:
1. Force a real talking filibuster.
2. Stop hiding behind process.
3. Pass the SAVE America Act.
YOU will become the reason that we will have our butts kicked in midterms. Not Candace Owens, not Nick Fuentes, not anyone else. You and you alone, and all because you want to make the 200 or so viewers of Punchbowl Fly Out Days happy. You're living in a K Street information bubble, addicted to the comforts and praises of lobbyists masquerading as journalists. You mistake the steak and martini dinners you get invited to as your own constituents.
You are not "moderate." The SAVE America Act has 98% support among Republicans. Name one other thing that has 98% support. You are an extreme minority who prides himself on being a calm leader, when in reality you are well in the running for the most ineffective Majority leader of all time.
Prove me wrong. Do the bare modicum of effort. Not symbolic. Actual effort. Cancel the recess. Get SAVE America Act passed.
I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country
I have heard that Democrats are spending $20 million to figure out why young men are not voting for them.
This is completely unnecessary.
If you read this post, my dear Democrats, you will learn how you lost an anti-Trump, anti-MAGA mask-wearing liberal to conservatism...
It starts with apathy, for most people
I cannot emphasize this part enough.
You're young, you hear things from friends, you see articles in news... all of it anti-Trump, all of it bashing conservatives.
It seems like the entire world is shitting on the MAGA movement.
You're just living your life, not really interested in the news or politics, but to be invited into polite society...
...you have to say certain things like "yeah, Trump is crazy" or "I'm definitely NOT MAGA"
It's like a strange loyalty test to humanity that you feel compelled to pass.
From the news you read, to the people you talk to... there's always a subtle or overt emphasis that if you want to not be bothered or if you want to be trusted in any way... you have voice, out loud, that you are not on Trump's team.
Many MANY liberals are accidentally created through this sort of apathy.
This, in a nutshell, was me.
I didn't look for outside sources to information.
I offloaded the "research" part of my worldview and beliefs to people I believed were experts.
CNN. NYTimes. Washington Post.
I trusted these people to give me accurate information.
I wasn't a die-hard political person, I just wanted a 5 second update on the news so I could be informed and carry a conversation when needed.
What I did not realize, until much much later...
...is that if you outsource your critical thinking on the news to left-leaning organizations...
...that slowly influences your beliefs over time
It's insidious.
I never saw it happening, but I saw it when the curtain dropped.
And when the curtain dropped for me...
...it dropped so so damn hard
By the middle of 2024, if you and I had coffee, I held a series of beliefs that I genuinely had not investigated, not researched, not given much of a second-thought to.
These beliefs were just fed to me as:
"This is what good, normal, kind people believe...so you should too."
Things like:
- Trump is cruel person and an idiot
- Liberals are inclusive of all worldviews equally
- Accept people for who they are, don't judge any behavior
- The MAGA movement is "extreme right" and a threat to democracy
- Only uneducated, stupid people voted Trump
It's embarrassing to say, and honestly... insanely humbling just to write it down, but that's the beliefs I held, leading all the way up to Hurricane Helene in 2024.
Then it all came crashing down.
It happened slowly for me, it wasn't a tidal wave.
When Hurricane Helene hit us in Western North Carolina, the first month still is a blur.
We lost power for a month, we volunteered our asses off helping as many people as we could.
Chainsawing trees off of homes. Bringing supplies in, setting up Starlink for the neighborhood, stringing together hundreds of feet of extension cords into people's homes...
But then, suddenly things started to feel very... off
All of a sudden, we began coordinating deliveries of RVs to people sleeping in tents.
But wait... where was the government?
Where were the reporters?
Where was everyone that said they cared about the environment, that said they cared about PEOPLE regardless of their beliefs?
Where was everyone?
It didn't make sense.
I spent months driving by destroyed bridges, debris and trash piled high for miles and miles.
I would open up my phone and see Joe Biden announcing another couple BILLION to Africa, another hundred BILLION dollars to Ukraine.
All the while I'm driving my kids to school by fucking freight trains flipped upside just laying in the streets.
We reached out to CNN.
They wouldn't touch us.
The only people that would report on the story was conservative media.
But it wasn't just that... I noticed something very strange.
Everywhere I looked, the people stepping up to help, all of them had a very particular worldview.
100% of them.
I saw Samaritan's Purse EVERYWHERE, helping anyone they could.
I got a phone call from Mercury1, who ended up partnering with us to help pay for extending hotel stays for people who FEMA was kicking out.
The people who we volunteered with, daily, they all seemed to think the same things, believe the same things.
I began to ask why.
And that's when the current began to drop.
I asked questions like:
"Why did a government I trusted to help my community, fail so dramatically?"
"Why did the media I believed to be the best source of news, TOTALLY ignore my community for months after the storm?"
"Why is Joe Biden handing out billions to foreign countries when my community, here in America, is so devastated?"
When I started asking why... it was all over.
I realized I was lied to, probably my entire adult life, by a media I trusted to give me an unbiased, quick-headline-glance-view of the world.
I realized that, "Hey, liberals aren't really accepting of all worldviews, because they are demonizing me for changing my mind..."
I realized that maybe some people SHOULD be judged harshly for the way they live their lives because... well those actions hurt other people.
I realized that hey maybe I should do research for myself before I start spouting some random crap I read on a headline via a push notification from CNN.
Maybe I was just fucking dead wrong about so many things I believed to be true.
Maybe I judged people because of their beliefs, not their actions.
Maybe I'm the problem.
Perhaps, maybe I should have listened better to those I disagreed with (for no good reason) instead of immediately dismissing them.
Maybe I was the fraud, all along.
...and then something remarkable happened
Trump kept his promises to us.
I watched as he came here to Western North Carolina and made those promises.
I was hopeful he would keep them, but jaded and bitter from being left behind by other politicians.
But not a week after Trump got into office, things started to get better, slowly at first...
...then everything, everywhere, all at once began to move forward
I started saying nice things about Trump and to this day am demonized, shit on, and harassed by the very same people who I believed were "inclusive" a few months ago.
They came after me with a furry I never thought possible.
And then it all clicked.
It was never about truth.
It wasn't about kindness or empathy.
It was all pretend.
And I had fallen for it... they were all talk, no action.
And when you disagreed with them, there was no dialogue, it was just a hammer of demonization.
So, my dear Democrats...
That's how you lost me.
I've written this a couple times and deleted it, but here it goes...
I live in Western North Carolina.
I watched Joe Biden hand out billions of dollars to Ukraine.
Yet, nearly every single day here, we would get calls from families with young kids who lost their homes, begging for shelter.
During those months, I truly lost all hope.
I watched BILLIONS of dollars go out the door to another country's war, while we were driving RVs to KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS living in tents, garages, a tool sheds.
You will never convince me that Ukraine deserved billions while American citizens in Western North Carolina had to beg each other for help.
Unless you lived through that experience... unless you personally dropped off an RV at the doorstep of American mountain momma and her kids who lost everything, like I did...
...you do NOT get to tell me what we "owe" Ukraine
I wasn't a MAGA person back then. I was honestly a stuck-up jerk who thought I was better than you because I got my news from "the experts".
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Once you see the media turn on you, your own government abandon you, the bubble begins to burst.
Then, you can't unsee it.
"America First" isn't just a slogan.
It's a blood-curling-scream into the night for all of us who were abandoned by our own government when we needed it the most...
That's why I'm MAGA now.
