“Spiteful things that [Labour] have done… like putting VAT on private schooling.
These aren’t all rich people…a lot of children have been tossed out of their school.
It’s a vindictive piece of work. It’s the nastiest thing I think they’ve done.”
Sir John Major.
Reportedly after PMQs, Bridget Phillipson and Liz Kendall confronted Kemi to call her language "spiteful.”
What’s spiteful is the 20% VAT imposed on private school fees. Leading to an increased burden on state schools and even brilliant schools closing.
Politics of spite.
@annaturley Completely brain dead! my daughter didn’t get into any of the 3 stare primaries, so we had no choice at that time.
Instead of spouting this vile garbage how about you thank us for making sacrifices, which in turn eases pressure on the state system for other families.
There is something about the delight that Bridget Phillipson takes in this cruel & unnecessary policy that is particularly sinister. Only 2 other countries in the whole world tax education, God I hope Andy Burnham gets shot of her.
Four points on Kemi at PMQs. 1) Labour MPs ARE traitors. 2) The education secretary is a class warrior and ‘spiteful’ with it. 3) The Chancellor is useless. 4) Miliband did stitch up his own brother. Men hate it when a woman speaks truth to power.
@bphillipsonMP Gosh you really are a nasty vindictive woman. So all the thousands of distraught kids and teachers you displaced are just ‘constant chatter’. Your policy has led to the closure of hundreds of schools (including my daughters). Envy at its finest. History won’t be kind to you
I have put restrictions on my kids phones so they can’t use them before 7am or after 8pm except to make calls/send texts.
They can’t download apps without me approving and they’re not allowed:

It’s called parenting, some should try it.
Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.
@triffic_stuff_ Got talking to a lovely lady last year who once worked for Lammy. She had been a civil servant for many high profile people from different political parties. She said he was one of the worst people she had worked for and said she found him to be racist! Who knew 🤷
Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.
Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.
It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.
