@tomklcz@OTerrifying And while yes, we do know of fungi able to control the insect nervous system, this is not the case here. Many people are pointing out the fruiting body of the fungus, BUT cordyceps would not release its fruiting body until it reached an optimal position where it would stop moving
@tomklcz@OTerrifying If you cut an insect in half it will still have some of these ganglia (small ball of neurons) able to precisely control the cut body parts until their eventual death due to dessiccation or being eaten.
This is so incredibly sad.
Cindy Cho, Kyu Cho, and James Cho all were shot and killed in the Allen, Texas mass shooting. 6-year old William Cho is the only surviving family member. He was also shot by Mauricio Garcia on May 6th and is recovering in the ICU.
He lost his entire immediate family. Just imagine what this child is going through right now!
When is enough finally enough? When does congress come together to try and solve this problem. There isn’t just one solution to this problem of mass shootings in America. It’s a multifaceted problem that requires a multifaceted solution.
And no, no solution will be full-proof, but if we can save just one life, it’s worth it. Let’s come together as a nation and tackle the mass shooting problem through taking care of mental health, coming up with common sense gun legislation that most Americans support, providing for better security, and funding more research into what is causing the problem.
Can we all agree that more than just thoughts and prayers are needed? Let's do this together!
