@akandeoj โข This is a destination that is co-owned and strategically driven by the Youths - most whom would be in their 50s and 60s by 2060
โข This vision transcends beyond individuals and focuses on "the people" - the collective
@akandeoj So, we are currently going round in circles and most economic indices are still flat and we haven't made those giant strides that will empower us as a people towards greatness.
@akandeoj โข We need something larger than life and compelling for Nigerians to look forward and up to - bigger than religious, ethnic/tribal, group, political leanings etc
โข We are too focused on "shortermism"... and look more at "Now-Now" immediate gratifications
@akandeoj Greetings Laolu,
Thanks for all the sharing and insights. Welldone. We might not make that expected national progress if we don't have and agree on a collective destination, which we currently don't .
@akandeoj โข We have LOST the ability to genuinely LOVE each others selflessly and its showing how we treat each other...
โข True Leaders who genuinely LOVE their people will be embarrassed and ashamed of what Nigeria and the people have been going thru in the last 50years
@akandeoj โข We have become used to living by the day, fire fighting daily, no long term strategic focus, some people are negatively enjoying the inconsistency and gaps in governance etc...
@akandeoj We need a new crop of value focused "persons driving a new set of governance ideology(ies): basic allowanced Statesmen and Women etc". New political servant-platforms infused with homebased and diaspora talents pushing for a basic vision of "Destination 2060: 100years of Nigeria"
@akandeoj It's not impossible..it's about Leadership & Behaviours! Putting the current Tax, Agric, Power, LG etc challenges in their proper context of 2060, would we approach the "HOW" more diligently, insightful and with stronger commitments?
@akandeoj 2060 is just 35years away. What did we do in the last 35years? Could we have done better? Who led us in the last 35years?
Are we manifesting the right behaviours that will make us effectively hit "Destination 2060?"
@akandeoj What is wrong or so difficult in
looking at a basic non-partisan destination 2060 (100years of Nigeria)... To be amongst the top 10 global economies by GDP, top 15 by income to GDP, top 15 by industrial output, top 10 destination for business and living, top 10 safest countries
@akandeoj Our past leaders coming together may not be aligned or ideal because of their different ideologies etc and looking at where we are today, we are still searching for that common ideology that will bring us together and take us to the "promised land".
