@JohnStolnis Their best chance would be taking on money that another team wants to shed. There’s limited options for what they need (RH bat) so they won’t win a bidding war. Might have to take on some bad money to get what they need.
@RealMamaEagle Love they are bringing some guys in that know and can help communicate the terminology of the offense. Will be like giving Mannion some coaches on the field during training camp.
@nyttypos@ExplainingPhils Would be fine, pitching is where they have the most depth and long term stability. If painter ends up being an ace, you still have Sanchez/Luzardo locked in and Wood probably ready next year.
@m_wenderlich@TheGoodPhight It’s the issue with building a team through free agency. Most of the time you’re getting guys that are already at the tail end of their primes. Some age better than others especially ones that rely on speed.

@CoreySeidman Wouldn’t benefit the Phillies, they haven’t developed talent well and relied on spending to compete in recent years. Would have to shift their organizational strategy.
